Don't bother... I tried asking him politely, just got the stock answer. He's out to annoy people. Don't feed the troll.

It looks silly now  I suppose you would get flamed for adding a more typical rake to that engine though

It looks better than most post-90's stuff in my opinion anyway :).

I believe in good old-fashioned common courtesy and that isambardkingdombrunel will do the reasonable thing.

I don't really understand the sig thing although it appears to upsets a lot of people :-?

Most posts are barely a few words and it takes a really hot topic for most to reach the other edge of the page

For most it's only when they're annoyed that they post more than a sentance so there's no problem reading the majority of posts :)

I'll save my concern for those who try to make fools of myself and other members with their fantasy creations.

IKB's OK, never done me any harm and I doubt many others either.

Lacking tact and not pussy-footing around isn't a crime .... yet :-? :)

Could do with a bit more straight talking on the forums and a little less subtle knocking which is something I admit I've been guilty of in the past  :)

Mind you .... if everyone was honest we'd all be banned :D :D

So we are reduced to making polite comments which can be taken more than one way and making everyone paronoid in the process which can cause as much trouble :-? :)

But John... To read you last short post, I had to drag the bar across 6 times! And that's without IKBs banner here too!

The threads I like to read generally have a fair bit of writing in them, I like that, but when I have to scan 20 or 30 times for each post on a page, it really does get tiring and difficult to read.

Some people here know I don't like wide sigs and I've gotten on very well with IKB in the past. I PMed him when he started using it asking him politely to narrow it down a bit, but I just got a line something like "... I like pissing people off..." and thought what a bloody minded inconsiderate person he was becoming. You only have to read some of his latest rants and posts to see that he's out to have a pop at all and sundry for some reason or other...

Anyway, I don't want to start a feud or anything, he ain't going to listen... In fact he's probably sat their chuckling into his beard at all the fuss he's caused here. I just don't bother with the wide stuff any more... Which really makes the forums very much less enjoyable to visit.

And on that note... Cheers and thanks for all the drinks. :( :drinking: :(
