Is that why the 66 is so long - they have to fit a double bed and side table in as well as a GM motor?

No not me driving
My Minder Driver (Terry lol) was driving why I had a break,
as it is very different from doing 2 LVST Clacton trips.
This is one luxury I wont have when I'm on my own after my brake handling.

We were lucky because both Loco's were number 1 Cab leading in both directions which has more space to move around in.
If it had been number 2 Cab leading we would have been stuffed as the Radiators are that end and space is restricted.

Also if you are driving from number 2 end you get the warm air from the Radiators sucked into the cab from the open cab windows which is great when the outside temperatures have been so hot latley.
