Protrain 1 Sound Problem

Post by anakha »

Hi,

I've got Protrain 1 but I have a specific sound problem which I can't seem to solve. The problem is purely related to the in-cab sounds for the DB103 TEE loco. What happens is that when I'm in the cab of the 103 TEE I get no sounds at all other than a sort of white noise. As soon as I switch to any of the outisde views all sound are OK. For example, if I sound the horn inside the cab - nothing but switching immediately to outside and I hear the horn OK.

What is weird is that the other DB 103 loco in Protrain 1 doesn't have this problem and, infact, all other locos on my system don't have this problem.

I've tried moving sound files from the 103 loco folder that works into the 103 TEE folder but it doesn't make a difference and I've been in touch with Blue Sky but their advice hasn't been anything more than make sure all of the sound sliders in MSTS are all the way to the right, copy the sms files etc.

I really can't figure out what would possibly cause one loco to have this problem but no others so any advice would be welcome.

I had this problem too, it seems to be the sound of the brakes not cutting out. You can fix it by opening the .eng file for that folder, and changing the BailOffButton entry to ( 0 1 0 )

No the latest one by Mathias Picher, are definately better, a lot more sharper.

However it seems to be one of those shapes that is very hard to model.

Changing the BailOffButton entry makes no difference. Nothing seems to make any difference. I get the feeling the only option is to replace the TEE loco with a freeware one - either that or drive along in slience. It's a shame a loco in a payware pack has such a problem.

Pro Train 1 sound

Post by jackbuzz »

As someone who has just bought this route has anyone else had a problem with the loco sounds - there is a slight pause in the loco sounds every 5 or 6 seconds, as though there is a gap in the sound loop. (I've got Pro Train 2 and Semmering and haven't had a problem.)

Is there a solution? Is it an easy job to amend the sms files?

Cheers
