Ship scenery object: SS Tamahine, 1200t passenger steamer

Post by CaptainBazza »

I was scanning thru the excellent range of scenery objects and noticed a dearth of shipping. Just uploaded* SS Tamahine, which was originally UK built, so should fit nicely into UK routes (with ports :) ) Enjoy!

Coming soon, MV Bolnes, 35,000dtw, bulkcarrier of the 1970's, with animated unloading.

* Not yet approved, so fingers crossed 0X I said 'fingers', damned aliens, they don't even try to learn our customs!

Hi Bazza, and welcome to the forums. Nice to get some quality new faces round here ;)

A fictional route I'm messing about with at the moment set on an island needs a good bit of shipping, wharves, dockside stuff, so anything you have lying about with a maritime theme and care to upload would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Captain,

Would you mind uploading some of your superb NZ locos and stock here too please? I have some of it already, but would find it easier if it was here. Enter the country code, then some of the insular element here won't be offended 8)

Is a DX available yet? If not, I might have to add it to my to-do list.

Ian.

Hi Bazza,

good to see you here - I am using your stuff extensively on my fictional UK route - which at this stage won't be released until after MSTS2 (and after all permissions have been sought) - It's truly excellent!

SS Tamahine and other maritime objects, etc.

Post by CaptainBazza »

Thanks for the kind comments about the SS Tamahine, etc. The bulk carrier MV Bolnes has been uploaded within the hour, so available soon. Permission is granted to use my models for private use and FREEWARE routes.

Some of my locos, a Baldwin C21 NG steamer, and NZR 3'6" gauge, diesels (DF & DJ) are available from the MSTS Train library at avsim.com.

Look for more maritime objects in the future.

At train-sim.com there is the TEV Rangatira, 1935, (do a search), is another NZ inter-island passenger steamer express ferry.
