[Metre Gauge] NWR Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar-Udaipur (Public Beta)

Post by JohnM1945 »

Yet another Indian route!

As seems to be usual in India, the route is offered as a 'Beta' - with scenery from Ahmedabad to Himmatnagar only, a distance of around 100 kilometres, although track has been laid all the way to Udaipur (a further 200 kilometres). The price, again typical for India, is US$15.00. This price entitles the buyer to all future upgrades to full 'final' condition.

Payment is to be made via Paypal using the (now) customary Bharat Stream system (Step 1: you make a Paypal payment to a named account; Step 2: you then submit the transaction reference on the Bharat Stream website; Step 3: once your payment has been confirmed, download, via your Bharat Stream account, is authorised.)

What is new is that this a metre-gauge route. The prototype is now a wide-gauge railway but was previously metre-gauge. The designer/developer is Brihen Chauhan whose earlier 'Demo' metre-gauge route is available FREE on the Bharat Stream site.

The route seems well-constructed;it's getting good reviews.

This link will take you in to view the products without having to register for Bharat Stream - click on the pictures to get a dropdown of 4 photos in each case - not sure where you can actually get any detailed information as every click off the initial photo (and about anywhere else) takes you to the registration page...
