Will deffo be adding to my collection though.
DTG aka Deaf Tone Games all we need to know really.

So, must ask, are you happy with it now you've added it to your collection?

Indeed I am thank you for your concern. I am sure you will be when the many volume packs appear for it in due course as can be expected.

easy, we know what they are like, much the same as food, you can look at it and think that is nice or not, you know if you like something or not, so the same with DTG we all know that little is done with sound and physics, but that said it is needed in the sim, so if not happy with the content, do what I do, wait until it is in the sale, buy at half price and wait for AP to finish off the product with an enhancement pack, until then it just gets used as AI

Concern? Curious perhaps concerned, Nope.

Nice try with the snippyness needs work though.

And I have no interest in these EMU's as they don't represent my niche within TS so sound packs AP or otherwise will make no odds to me.

So all your whinging and whining here and in the Steam forum has just been because having a go at DTG made you happy?

Looks like tried to prove a point and failed lol.

Just had a look on the steam forums and was certainly entertaining lol

1) What whinging and whining, all I've done is made a joke about DTG standing for Deaf Tone Games
2) Steam forums? I haven't mentioned or posted anything on the steam forums regarding the 700 and haven't whinged or whined there at all as far as I can recall.
3) Are DTG not accountable for their poor product testing and releases?

You done making stuff up Gary? You're far better at helping people solve technical issues than white knighting for other forum members (that chose to be snarky with me first btw) so I'd stick to that if I were you mate.

I'm sure some people will like it, it looks like a cheap and cheerfull run about for it's pricevits not really surprising

Having seen the transim.tv video, I'll be holding off until an AP version is released, I doubt there will be multiple volumes there isn't many varieties of 700's, but also needs DOO adding as well.

People keep saying it shouldn't be up to AP to fix things, no you are right, but it's not just the sounds, the AP version is like a FS Study level aircraft, its got more features

If DTG Patched the sounds a bit then the stock version is ideal for those who don't want all the frills, simples, as always no ones making anyone buy any AP pack

I haven't bought the 700.
It might be nice to have but I'm more interested in other non-DTG content which is definitely well made, and it sounds like it isn't being well received at the moment (master of understatement) so I don't want to support the product with a purchase yet.
The thing that niggles away at me is DTG know it's going to sell even if the community think it's a lemon.
They know that the community or a certain reputable addon producer will turn it into a decent product after all and then it will sell loads more !
Win-win as always for DTG. Love 'em or hate 'em they know how to make money not top quality dlc.
Not forgetting that some will enjoy it out of the box. Hey ho..
I've just enjoyed driving from Dover Priory to Faversham on a foggy morning on the new CML route so thank you for that DTG.
It's just a game and as far as i know,I haven't set up a direct debit to DTG so no bad press from me today..
Happy trains weekend :)

There is now a patch here https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/at ... tdZLNImnQQ

Just a few fixes.

This patch makes the following changes to the DTG Class 700:

Sounds:
– Replaced cab, horn and run sounds with those from the AP 450
– Replaced DC sounds using AP 450 sound set, with custom mix for 30mph pitch change
– Replaced AC sounds with custom sound set
– Replaced door open / close sounds with custom
– Replaced air-con sound in cab with custom
– Added idle hum sounds for both AC and DC modes, with separate interior and exterior sounds

Functionality:
– Added neutral section functionality
– Added door and reverser interlock for power/brake
– Added working DSD that applies brake if pedal not pressed within a few seconds of it sounding
– Increased acceleration power on AC mode by 25%, to roughly match its real acceleration
– Increased maximum speed so 100mph is actually achievable
– Increased dynamic brake force
– Added cab setup ‘TPWS & AWS Operational’
– Added DRA reset reminder (& set DRA on by default)
– Remapped DSD pedal from the ‘Q’ key to ‘E’
– Headlights default state is now tail rather than off

Visuals:
– Added new destination textures – these are listed in the destinations file
– Amended headlight textures
– Added rust on wheel rims

Fixes:
– Fixed motor sounds playing when power is not applied on DC mode
– Fixed motor sounds not playing from intermediate motor cars
– Fixed DSD being cancelled by AWS button instead of DSD pedal
– Probably other stuff I’ve already forgotten

Requirements

This patch requires the following payware:

– DTG Class 700 – https://store.steampowered.com/app/1804515
– AP Class 444/450 EP – https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/cla ... ement_pack

Apart from the changes to the sounds that require the AP 444/450 pack all of that seems well within DTG's dev team's ability to implement. I wonder if the company is going to allocate the resources so they can get their own patch out?

I hope so but does look like a good set of changes but I am not buying an AP pack to fix sounds on this which is a shame.
