If you like your Class 60s sounding like a Kuju HST then here is the pack for you...
Going from memory here, but the class 60 does/did sound remarkably similar to a HST. Which could result in a rather unpleasant surprise if you were waiting for a HST to Reading and found a coal train to Didcot approaching instead!
Ssshh Steve - you can't talk positively about Dovetail products. Everything has to have an AP soundpack before it is any good :P

Yeah it always amazes me how people scream for an AP soundpack from looking at an image on a dtg post lol

We will see what comes out when AP either re-release the sound pack to work with this loco or bring out their version of the Class 60

I dunno, but words certainly can give the wrong impression--we've already seen it alluded that AP have a class 60 in development in this thread, which may be correct but if so I definitely missed the official announcement about it.

AP like DTG only seem to put out an announcement when the product is within a week or so of release and is in the final testing stage.

Only found out about the 4 Cep about a week before it was released and that was a big item - must buy it sometime.

So as far as we all know, AP are NOT developing a class 60--that of course doesn't mean they aren't, just that we don't know about it.

I don't think that anyone claimed AP are doing a Class 60? Rather people were speculating that the apparently recently withdrawn Class 60 Sound Pack is being upgraded for the DTG 60 and/or changed into an Expansion Pack

Neither do I, but I still say it was alluded to...

Mind you, as things go with DTG, this Class 60 will probably come bundled up with a route in the next 12/18 months, or, so, just like so many of their other British/German locomotive offerings, so, I think I'll hang on and get it then.

I love coming onto these forums whenever a DTG or AP product is released or may/may not be coming. I have bought the DTG 60, and in my honest opinion the model is lovely, i like it a lot. The sounds are utter garbage, and i personally do hope that AP address it, because the tripe sounds spoil an otherwise lovely bit of work.

Cheers
Terrone.

As i know, the sounds for Class101 DMU.

Is it not the case that the original Class 101 DMU sounds were recorded about 10 years ago, while Richard was only a lad and dabbling with sound recording as a hobby? Not even sure he'd set up AP yet?

Isn't the Strathclyde 101 based on the original base model though?

I've been a customer of Richard's since 2009, when I obtained his Combination scenario packs 1 & 2, so, that's 12 year's ago........ :o
