WOW! That is some weird sh1t!

As a first step - I suggest you delete the folder '...railvehicles\steam\early-blue-sss' - this should have been deleted by the installer but permissions sometimeeas fail - you should have seen a warning telling you about it at the end of the install process.

Did the installer finish cleanly when you ran it - you should have got an 'installation complete' message?

Can you grab a screenie of the 'Assets\RSC\FlyingScotsman\RailVehicles\Steam\Scotsman\A3-Historic-Late\Engine' folder please?

What happens if you use the scenario editor to add a Late A3 to an existing scenario - do you get the same funnies?

Cheers
Sorry, I missed this as i have been busy "playing" for a few weeks. let me have a go.

In terms of adding with the scenario editor - I haven't really messed around with it since the RS days before QD existed. I.e when you needed to add your new stock to a free roam yourself, is it possible to add in the loco, tender and coaches as a consist these days or do I still have to add the provider, then add the engine, then the tender etc?

i tried the traditional way:

excuse my notations. I added flying fox late, early tender was an amalgamation of the austalia tender and a BR liveried tender with no crest and late tender was with no crest

*note* - TEnder blue appears in the list but when I try to add it nothing appears. I presume the shape files have not been copied and on checking the folder there is no GeoPcDx just a *.bin

Andrew,

When adding stuff in scenario editor you need to do as before - tick prod/provider, then add individual elements. Obviously you can then make up a consist for future use.

The numerous bizarrenesses that you are seeing suggest to me that the executable failed to run properly - possibly due to permissions. I am happy to run a zoom session with you so i can watch the instal process and see what is going wrong.

Difficult to diagnose beyond that point without seeing the instal happening.

Let me know

All the best
Neil

PS - have you got the latest version of RWtools installed? If not then i suggest you do that before we meet up as we may need it!
WIP: Cambridgeshire Branch Lines - v5.5 released - now looking at locos. D16 Claud is out - back to scenery ... via a J19 and bits

HI Neil - we could give that a go for sure. I've tried to run both as administrator and just normally. Usually running normally works better than as an administrator.

FYI - I also have a problem getting your A2 pack to run which suggests to me that it could be something I am doing, or rather my computer is doing. the batch files seem to run ok, they don't report any problems but the installer just zips through them so I can't see the text. I tried to delete the folder this morning and re-download from steam, re-install the pack but still came across the same problems.

Is it possible to provide a list of what needs to be copied and moved I could give it a go and see how that goes otherwise we could try zoom.
