Post by shinymac »

as for the fixes ,just mention them on here and I’ll have a look over the next couple of weeks

Hi again Joe

It seems that others have found a few glitches so if you can keep an eye on any posts for a while, they should advise what is wrong.

As its always difficult to decipher others posts re probs and how to fix them, can I ask that after a week or so you correct them yourself and then put out "updated scenarios" rather than us trying to work out how to individually fix each one please ?

Off to do Ashington Pt2 now !

Thanks

Gotcha! Thanks, that's exactly what I'd done wrong - I dropped them off instead of emptying them, then attaching the ones from Tip 2 to the back of them! By now, the wagons will be as molten as the slag they were carrying (oo-er matron! 8) )after sitting on a blazing tip all night!

Another bash at it tonight.

Just had a go at Consett slag thismorning, all fine. only thing i can think of is if you droped the wagons on tip 1 instead of coupling them to the ones on tip 2 to run back to siding 7.

Scenario mix up ,my fault put same scenario in both folders, now corrected ,presume you installed the manual ones Ash.
Joe

Yes, I thought it worth checking the rwp files, so I installed those, and all scenarios are now present and correct. I was having difficulties with Consett Ore Part 1 (shunter not load on rear of consist, other errors) but these were resolved once I installed the rwp versions of the scenarios. I'll try the Consett Slag one again later but I think I DID drop the waggons on Tip 1. Probably scenery-gazing! It's worth running again anyway!

Ash
Ash if you did drop the slag ladles off at Tip 1 then that will be why it failed your only suppose to empty them.I completed this scenario ok but got a fail as my train moved slightly during a stop instruction. One thing I did notice about the scenario is there didn't seem to be any cargo unload tasks at Tip 1 just a message saying empty the ladles.Still a cracking scenario though I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks Newbouy
Did try unload cargo instruction in there at first, but could never get it to complete for some reason,so replaced it with stop at with instruction in it so it could be completed.

Which only means that your installation is flawed--quite easily done when moving stuff about.

thinking the file may have been in the wrong place in v.2 because the iron ore scenarios are copied from v2 then duplicate and worked on,if that’s right all I have to do is swap them out for the one in the correct location I guess.

Hi Joe
I notice in the 101 Tyneside destinations pack, there are both Blue and White versions, but the instructions for copying the GeoPcDx files only covers the blue version. Should we be doing white at the same time, please?

Yeh I did the blue one as a example ,white ones the same apart from there isn’t hc variants .
If I was doing both just copy shape file and paste into both white and blue of the same vehicles .

Did anyone else have problems with the scenario called "Harton System".I had a message pop up at start saying something about the Weardale class 25.Dropping into the editor the service causing the problem was called "NCB08.3" and it was not showing on the 2d map.Anyway eventually I found it and it consisted of the NCB class08 with a extremely worn saddle tank coupled to it and then the weardale class 25 was overlapping the saddle tank obviously not coupled up correctly.I could not delete or do anything with this 25 so in the end I had to use TS-Tools to delete the consist. After deleting the consist the scenario worked fine and I got a successful completion.By the way Great scenario Joe.

I’ll have a look at that when I get in,sorted the BEV out ,that was really odd ,shows as in that folder in scenarios but when I look in my directory it’s in correct location,so iv swapped it out to save any probs.

Joe

When you get chance would you have a look at "Freight : Lynemouth Production" scenario please.

The scenario starts at 1900hrs. And at 1901hrs the coal train alongside the player train in the sidings, draws forward and stops over the exit points to all the sidings, and doesnt move. Meaning that the player train cannot exit the siding, and the scenario can not be started at all.

Thanks

That train does leave in front of you and locks the points for a couple of mins before you can leave ,it should stop on the points tho .I’ll try mine when I get in.

Newbouy don't know where your ghost 25 came from ,should only be an 08 with condemned loco and guards van in that consist ,thats what i have on mine.

Derek Class 37 leaves and clears section on mine ,leaving me to leave about 4 mins later.

Have a little patience Derek - the 37 coal train that departs in front of you locks the points against your train until it has left the section. If you wait, you'll find that the path becomes available after a couple of minutes and you can depart.
