Re: North East Rails V3.1 release & Scenario pack info.
Just uploaded 2 packs to the site
1) DMU Tyneside destination mods.
2) NCB Repaints.
Bit out of my comfort zone with these, would be good for someone which has done this sort of work to give some feed back.
Just in case iv done out daft and they come chain me up and whip me.
Thanks
Joe

Re: North East Rails V3.1 release & Scenario pack info.
I wanted to run my trains in 1973 specifically as that was the last full year that the Class 24s worked the iron ore consists. 1974 is no good as everything changed in March that year, the 20 year contract that Consett Iron Company signed in 1953 expired, the iron ore loading facility in Tyne Dock was mothballed, the 56t iron ore tipplers were mothballed, all the Class 24s were transferred away from Gateshead into Scotland and the iron ore was transported directly up from Redcar to Consett utilising 2 x Class 37s off Thornaby In 100 ton PTA hoppers.
If anyone wants to follow my lead for scenarios, the following locos were allocated to Gateshead Depot in 1973, from my Ian Allan loco books of that period.
Class 03 shunter - 2056, 2058/9, 2061, 2064/6, 2078, 2094, 2102, 2104-6, 2108, 2110, 2147, 2156, 2170.
Class 08 shunter - 3072, 3182, 3195, 3215-6, 3244, 3324, 3455, 3673/4, 3678/9, 3729, 3875, 3915, 3926, 3939/40.
Class 24 - 5102 to 5111
Class 31 - 5691, 5821, 5856.
Class 37 - 6708/9/10, 6715/16, 6732, 6741/2, 6745/6, 6748, 6757/8, 6761-3, 6765-8, 6771, 6776, 6784/5, 6787, 6792/3, 6804, 6806/7, 6900, 6912, 6828, 6935, 6938.
Class 40 - 345/6, 350-4.
Class 46 - 164, 166-179, 181-3, 187, 190/1.
Class 47/0 - 1100 (became 47298) 1101-5 (became 47518-522), 1518-20, 1525, 1527, 1534-6, 1541/2, 1545, 1550, 1577/8, 1580/1.
Class 55 Deltic - 9002, 9005, 9008, 9011, 9014, 9017.

Joe
I've just played the Consett Slag scenario and wonder if there's a problem with it - although I'm pretty sure that I've set points correctly and have the consist headed by the Class 7 correctly positioned at Consett Works 7 siding, almost at the end, the scenario fails when I enter that siding.
That said (and the real reason for posting) is this - I've been using Train Simulator in its various editions since it was originally released back in 2007 and, in the 13 years since, have played hundreds of routes and quite possibly thousands of scenarios. I thought V3 of North East Rails was a new benchmark in quality and sheer detail but your scenario pack is simply stunning! Despite the apparent problem (which might be me and if not, I'm sure it can be fixed), the Consett Slag scenario has to be the most immersive and engaging one I've ever played. I love the fact that the brakes are on the wagons until you couple up and "allow the vacuum" to release them, and the sound of the molten slag sizzling away, once the wagons are filled, is incredible!
Are there plans for more scenarios from you? They certainly show off this wonderful route in the best possible way!
Cheers

Hi Joe, in Blyth power empties, you seem to be using a BEV that's in the ZJV mermaid folder rather than it's own folder - is this a mistake? Edit Are you also uploading the NCB Woodhead hoppers too? Please.

Joe
Sorry, but the scenarios "Consett Ore (Part 1)" and "Coal Collection (JT Class 20)" appear to be sharing the same scenario code: badc455b-dca9-4ce7-92c4-d6a715551d4e.
I've cloned and re-named the Coal Collection one, which then allows me to install Concett Ore Part 1 without overwriting Coal Collection.

Re: North East Rails V3.1 release & Scenario pack info.
Hello all, back at work for a break now after doing that manual.must admit I’m always totally blown away by the good words after I do an update, when I think the route was nearly deleated in the early days before any release.it all started as a bit fun for me own enjoyment on the Blyth and Tyne, never intended to release it to be honest.it’s come a long way since them days ,just a thought for you all ,the route was started before the 101 unit and I’m pretty sure the 37 wasn’t out ether because I remember using the 47 on everything.
I’ll leave it all alone for a couple of weeks,I’ll come back then and do some updates
Thanks
Joe Whittaker

Hi Joe
"Industrial Ashington System Part 1" completed succesfully ! Worked a charm, and gets you thinking. Like others have said....this route is brilliant..and well worth downloading. Hope you can fix the probs mentioned so far.

Re: North East Rails V3.1 release & Scenario pack info.
Just had a go at Consett slag thismorning, all fine. only thing i can think of is if you droped the wagons on tip 1 instead of coupling them to the ones on tip 2 to run back to siding 7.ashgray wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 7:17 pm Joe

Yes, I thought it worth checking the rwp files, so I installed those, and all scenarios are now present and correct. I was having difficulties with Consett Ore Part 1 (shunter not load on rear of consist, other errors) but these were resolved once I installed the rwp versions of the scenarios. I'll try the Consett Slag one again later but I think I DID drop the waggons on Tip 1. Probably scenery-gazing! It's worth running again anyway!

Re: North East Rails V3.1 release & Scenario pack info.
Ash if you did drop the slag ladles off at Tip 1 then that will be why it failed your only suppose to empty them.I completed this scenario ok but got a fail as my train moved slightly during a stop instruction. One thing I did notice about the scenario is there didn't seem to be any cargo unload tasks at Tip 1 just a message saying empty the ladles.Still a cracking scenario though I thoroughly enjoyed it.ashgray wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 9:31 amJoewhittaker wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 8:33 amJust had a go at Consett slag thismorning, all fine. only thing i can think of is if you droped the wagons on tip 1 instead of coupling them to the ones on tip 2 to run back to siding 7.ashgray wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 7:17 pm Joe
