Hi Joe,

Love V3 so far, but have a few observations:

1) Terrain on some parts of the route need smoothing out, as there is quite a bit of floating track, Manors being the most noticeable.

2) Coming off Percy Main Jcn, I was doing no more than 20mph when I derailed at the bottom of the incline

Other than those niggles, I'm very much enjoying exploring the updated version and seeing what's new.

Hi Joe

I'd agree that some of the terrain needs a little smoothing TLC, and I too cannot negotiate the incline at Percy Main.

I also appear to be missing the platform ends at Newcastle, on platforms 2/3 and 4/5.

As an aside (and please forgive me if I've said this before), this route, especially this latest version, takes me back to my childhood so vividly, spend at Howden, North Shields, Cullercoats and Tynemouth, so I'm very familiar with the loop line. Even after 50 years, it looks just as I remember it to be and evokes a lot of lovely memories that would not have arisen if your route were no so accurate.

Hi, just a small point I've noticed is that all the signal I.D. number plates are floating a few inches in front of their respective signals. Looking forward to the scenarios coming, have always really enjoyed this route in all it's previous forms.

Hi Joe,

superb additions, especially the collieries.

Only faults noticed:
1) on line from Ashington to Blyth - Where there are 2 Home semaphore signals on the same post, the lower arm when 'off' interferes with the upper 'on' arm
2) There is serious flooding in Blyth to the SE of Bates colliery where the North Sea has breached into the town.

The only quibble I have is that the PINK girder bridge asset (greatly disliked by many) used in Gateshead east of the MPD and for the old Redheugh road bridge ought to be replaced with the reskinned grey version that you have used elsewhere. Is it correct that there should not be any connections between the two systems of lines in the vicinity of Tyne Dock MPD or is East Boldon colliery the only choice of destination for trains originating from the East group of staithes at Tyne Dock.

Will the old line once used by the iron ore trains through Washington to Pelton ever be added? (just curious and not a criticism in any way).

Thanks for a very impressive route. One matter worth correcting, which is a speedy process wtih TS/RW Tools, is to remove the empty consists in the standard scenarios. In two of them there are in excess of 20 empty consists. I think an empty consist occurs when you delete a consist with an icon without first deleting the icon.

I think that is because you would see EN 444 on the plates - move the new plate too close and the texture would merge from what I have seen.

Thanks for the feedback over the last couple of days,iv done some alterations already which are as follows.

1)Percy main speed markers put in correct locations.
2)Percy main incline speed limit reduced to 10 and the track joining at the point at the bottom of the hill smoothed out (down hill).
p.s i know the inclines here are not prototypical but unfortunately due to the space i cant extend them without doing major rebuild in the area which i have no intensions on starting on this old route.
3)The tide has gone back out at Blyth now :D
4)Speed signs altered at Benton jct ,this is something i noticed myself the other day.
5)Snap to track Manors track towards Jesmond.
6)Sticky signal at Monkseaton checked, just the old script problem of them not clearing until your almost on it.could try remove the repeater i put in before the bridge but i dont think it will help much.Did try it in another scenario and it cleared straight off tho.one to watch out for.
7)Thinking about reducing speed limit into bays at Central to 15 ,what does everyone else think ?.
8)Signals at Marcheys House crossing altered .
9)Pink bridges repainted :D
10) Scenario empty consists ,removed.
The signal at Gosforth depot ,is this the one with the feather between Longbenton and the depot Peter ,if so the feather is for the avoiding line around the back of the depot.

The snap to track rough edges issue . been doing bits of this for literally years ,if you notice any really bad floaty bits point them out and ill do them but haven't enough hours in the day to go over the hole network.

Platform end at Central ,just Kuju cut and sloped to the ground, not sure why you would be missing them.

think thats most of it.

Worked hard to get this out there this year but back to work tomorrow  so any other stuff you come across put on here and ill have a look at the weekend, after that it will be trying to get the scenario pack sorted.

Joe Whittaker
P.S Any body do reskins like to help me package the reskins for the pack,im ok with the RWP bit but would like some advice on creating a batch files.

Thanks

Joe

Yes Ron they were joined originally in V.2 for a while but i found a major problem as in the Harton system i used a different track rule to the rest of the railway and found when i joined them they broke the Track bin file, oops. In V.3 iv done some alterations and now the network is joined at Harton jct with no problems.decided to keep the rest separate tho.By 1970 the upper dock was long gone and the direct route to Pelaw South aswell so that is why i didn't add them,i wanted to show where they were so thats why its part derelict part NCB.

Hi Joe,

thanks for the explanation, different track rules really mess up connecting track such that the dispatcher malfunctions.

Trojan effort by you now to getting V.3 out (and over the past few years with this route) which really gives a true flavour of what the area was like 30+ years ago.

Oh, and Happy New Year - you should be really satisfied with what you have achieved here as you return to work, - I can well believe you need a rest from route building at least for a short while until the bug gets to you again!

Hello Joe, and a Happy New Year to you, thanks so much for carrying on with this route, it's absolutely awesome. :D

I noticed that Newcastle Central Station is just one asset, and like Ash I am missing some platforms and the station girders appear to float, although someone parked a car there, so, unsure what has happened in that area really.
I ran the route through RW Tools and came up with this missing Kuju asset that is not in my default folders anywhere.

N:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\scenery\Procedural\platform_uk02_76m_mid_np.bin (Loft Item) on tile +000025-000086.bin
RailWorks64 2021-01-04 11-41-00-80.jpg
Apart from that oddity, I can't see anything else untowards that hasn't already been advised, and you're dealing with the amendments accordingly.

Cheerz. Steve.

\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\scenery\Procedural\platform_uk02_76m_mid_np.bin
Ditto for me
I have a platform_uk02_76m_mid.bin but not a np version

Not done a run south thru the station so I did not spot it

I don't have any platforms missing at Newcastle. The only minor problems are a missing platform marker for Platform 2 and no end cap for platform 6, unless that's the way it's meant to be!

There is no \Kuju\RailSimulator\scenery\Procedural\platform_uk02_76m_mid_np.bin on my system but it's not reported as missing by either RW or TS Tools.
