MatrixTrains LMS Period 1 Non Corridor PassengerView Fix's

Post by gopher »

Just uploaded two fixes for the distorted passenger views in the MatrixTrains LMS Period 1 Non Corridor LMS Early and Late sets. DTG never got around to fixing them. The later BR Crimson and Maroon sets are working fine.

No problem John. I'm not aware of any other problems on the Steam Marketplace sets. If anyone knows different then let me know.

Surely supporting/fixing what you've put on the Steam Marketplace is your responsibility, not DTG's?

gptech, why do you always stand on DTG's side of an issue???

I'm assuming Gordon provided the fixes to DTG and DTG didn't get around to releasing them.

Because it often is the case that DTG are used as the *easy* blamee.

In which case it's not what Gordon has stated, but it would certainly (and fairly) put the onus on DTG to release those fixes in a timely manner and I'd then agree that DTG have been lax.

And just how would I do that with no access to DTG's files on the Marketplace. I send DTG the corrections and they are never applied. I'll await your enlightened knowledge on said subject.

In which case (see post above) you've done all you can, and yes DTG have been lax in NOT implementing the fixes---but that is not what your opening post said:

That clearly gives the impression that fixing, as in producing those revised files, for your coaches was/is DTG's responsibility.
what you could have wrote: DTG never got around to implementing the fixes sent to them.

Hi Gopher,
just bought these products and as these two fixes are shown in the recent "Newest Files " section. Have down loaded and applied them to the new files. Have just read your statement "The later BR Crimson and Maroon sets are working fine." Can you clarify which files these "Patches" are applicable to?

Hi John, if you look in the matrixtrains folder in assets, the files apply to the coaches with the same names as the patches (minus the passenger view fix bit)

Thanks Mark.

For the benefit of the pedantic "applying fixes" rather than "fixing". Pardon my grammar.

Gordon, there's no room for ambiguity when apportioning blame for an issue--let's hammer DTG for what they do *wrong*, but make sure we've identified the right wrong!
