Re: AP Class 175 EP being removed.
Some of the previous comments look a bit mocking or sarcastic to me, either about AP or the customers that buy and enjoy their products.
I don't like some of AP's product design decisions, but on balance I'm happy to buy the products that interest me, but some posters - especially in past threads - seem to have a deep hatred of them and I don't understand why, unless there's some personal history between them.

Not so much the customers in general, but those a wee bit more fanatic about AP products, regardless of any flaws or niggles they may have.IronBidder wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 1:42 pm ...about AP or the customers that buy and enjoy their products......

Re: AP Class 175 EP being removed.
There is one word why... Jealousy, because someone is successful and is always the same argument. If the thread was titled something else it would slip through the net but it is almost like an alarm is set off the minute the word 'AP' is mentioned. Many have mentioned it before and it makes the site more and more toxic each time. And the argument is not balanced either - Richard used to post on these forums a lot but he hardly ever comes on here now and why would he.IronBidder wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 1:42 pm Some of the previous comments look a bit mocking or sarcastic to me, either about AP or the customers that buy and enjoy their products.

Don’t expect a reply to that question. As usual the usual lot TRY to stir arguments to get a thread locked so it gets pushed down the list. Just ignore the usual comments like that and don’t give them what they want.

No one (well not me anyway) suggested they had been knocked - But there are many sarcastic comments as pointed out by the poster to whom I was responding to... that's why I used the quote. And you have been guilty of that on this thread Gary as you well know.

Re: AP Class 175 EP being removed.
You've obviously missed
And there is an endorsement of AP's pack, from one of the "usual suspects" (written as a stage aside, but we all know who I mean don't we boys ands girls---for Christ's sake Martin, if you've a gripe with anybody say so; are we really in such a lily-white environment that we can't be honest?)
Struggling to find what else they can do to the current enhance pack. Giving it is titled to have accurate braking physics etc etc. And the sounds are pretty good
I'll happily accept that I've been sceptical, but any sarcasm has been about the more *rabid* AP fanboys and Alan Thomson. Show me the posts where I've been disrespectful to AP and I'll happily redress the matter.
This whole debacle started with the 8th post in the thread:
The only potentially disparaging part of what I can see the cause of that belief is not directed at AP, and is in this wee exchange.
No further input from GrateEastern, has he perhaps been a wee bit too sensitive?rosschris10 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 9:47 pm Well if thats the case i hpoe excisting owners dont need to pay again just for some files to be revised.
Forums exist for discussion; discussion brings conflicting ideas; argument takes place (look up the meaning of argument and you'll find it doesn't just mean a blazing row); end result is one side has it's opinions altered or both sides agree to disagree.
Yes, of course things can, and do get out of hand, it's when it gets to a playground round of name calling that the real bother starts.

Re: AP Class 175 EP being removed.
Well said Gary.
Like I said above it is always the same little group of names who appear here anytime there is a discussion about AP who resort to name calling to flame an argument so the mods lock the thread and it gets pushed down so they can start a fresh thread when it is released.
Best thing to do is do not engage with the ones name calling and give them what they want ie an argument so the mods lock the thread.

The antipathy towards Richard Armstrong goes right back to a much earlier time that we cannot detail on here.

Once upon a time many were upset by an AP release...
viewtopic.php?p=1709858#p1709858
strange how now that many of that many won't stand for any negative comment about anything their favourite provider does.

Say something that brings arguments to a close. Or don't say anything at all.
