Track Markers in Scenarios...?

Any quick tips on how to place scenario specific track markers?

I can see the “scenario marker” instruction, but that is just the floating icon with the scenario info. If I try to place a track marker, as per route building I get asked if I want to save the route..

I may be wrong, but I infer from your comments that you testing a scenario, decide you need a marker, and gone into World Editor. If you make any changes here, it will be "Route-specific", so you will be asked if you wish to save the route. You need to be back in the Scenario build, so click on the scenario icon at the top right on the menu at the top left. It will tell you that you will lose all progress in the scenario. You can then add whatever you wish (markers or scenery). As a check, all new markers will have a suffix (S). To test the scenario again, press the "Drive" icon at the bottom right (big yellow right pointing triangle). As a further tip, immediately go into the "escape" menu and press "Restart", as that will reset the signals for the scenario.

Was building a scenario in scenario tab / menu - but the track markers only seemed to work in the “route” menu...

You can select destinations markers in scenarios mode which won’t alter route build ie just be in scenario.

To which "track markers" are you referring? As I said in my original reply (and confirmed by Whittaker), you can place scenario-specific markers in any scenario (as long as they do not overlap a route-specific marker). You find them in the track infrastructure menu when in Scenario Build
