Default RSC. I can hear any *cab* sounds from any other nearby loco.

You could try it as well; in a quick simple route throw a few locos in very close proximity, and trigger the AWS or another prominent noticeable sound (maybe with a magnet or something) on all of them. You’d be able to hear all the AWS horns from all the locos in all cabs, in my case at least.

Yep, I think it’s the same one as the RSC 86. AFAIK that only occludes the exterior sound?

Just tried with a default RSC 86 with a default Kuju 47 passing over an AWS ramp on the next track, with signals set by other locos to trigger a warning. It wasn't audible from the cab of the 86.

EDIT: Swapped the 47 for a 40 and added 2 permanent, always warn, ramps with no change--still no sound intruding into the 86 cab.

Thanks for that, adds some more spice into the mix now :D . Must be something I’m doing or not doing. Are you by chance able to hear the 86 transformer live power growl/hum from the 40 or 47?

In the 40, yes--but I'm one of those who suffer from the sounds being too quiet on the AP 40 and 50 in relation to other locos.
In the 47 I couldn't pick out any particular sound from the 86, just sounded like a passing train would.
