Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
Hi
I am trying to substitute an AP Class 37 into a scenario and probably getting the loco details wrong in the editor. I have something like 37093;Config=x;bogie=cp7;no1front=split_hco_door;no2front=split_hco_door;no1hl=hc;no2hl=hc. Would some kind person point out where I am getting the syntax wrong please so I can do it right in the future.
This gives me a driveable loco but no lights and no bogies
Managed to drop one in from pre set selection box but would be nice to know what I should be doing

So it's going to stick out like a sore thumb with an odd color, is that what you mean and is that really a good thing.rkk01 wrote:Oh wow, that really is something...
Hard to believe, but I’m pretty sure this is the first time for proper WR green or blue 37s since I got a copy of TS

That's exactly what sprung to my mind, how?

Config needs to equal something like "Late70sUnrefurb".chrisreb wrote:Hi

The manual fully explains how locos/variants should be numbered in the editor.chrisreb wrote:Hi

Proper is most commonly associated with job to form proper job, which is used to refer to anything that is done well. Your new car is proper job just as much as a very tasty meal made for you by a loved one or an item of work that has been performed properly
Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
Or, in the case of WR allocated Cl37s, this will be the first time in my use of the sim that I will be able to use a correct BR blue 37 on china clay, or on S Wales coal, steel or iron ore trains.... same applies to the Canton based green era 37s.
Incredibly, I to the plunge on TS with TS2009, and IIRC the Class37Pack01 was pulled from Steam when TS2009 was launched??? That’s over 10 years...!!!
Yes, E-G and S&C had good centre box 37 models, but they never seemed to attract the attention of reskinners to BR blue / green

Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
OK, but my initial query wasn't really one regarding the meaning of the word per se, but just what is it in the livery/loco that's different?rkk01 wrote: this will be the first time in my use of the sim that I will be able to use a correct BR blue 37 on china clay, or on S Wales coal, steel or iron ore trains.... same applies to the Canton based green era 37s.
Reskins for the discontinued 37 are easily ported over to both those models, there's really only the ETH box to tweak.rkk01 wrote:Yes, E-G and S&C had good centre box 37 models, but they never seemed to attract the attention of reskinners to BR blue /
Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
The ETH box is only the start of it - the RSC refurbished 37 used on S&C, E&G, Portsmouth etc is totally unauthentic for BR green and blue liveries.Reskins for the discontinued 37 are easily ported over to both those models, there's really only the ETH box to tweak.
Been here long enough to know better...

Which is what I'm asking...why?...what's wrong with it?rwaceyw wrote:the RSC refurbished 37 used on S&C, E&G, Portsmouth etc is totally unauthentic for BR green and blue liveries.
And I suppose it'd be handy to know if there's any 37 at all that'd suffice?

They have an opinion and if you disagree then ignore it don't decide that its not for everyone. Hes right too AP have become way too expensive in my opinion.locomotiveman1994 wrote: It just annoys everyone.#
Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
God, i love reading through an AP product announcement thread! The speed with which it degenerates is frightening!!
Purely as an aside, i have both Volumes 1 & 2 and i think that they are fantastic, and i hope that AP release the WIPAC, Brush cab and /9 variants at some point. Just my humble opinion though you understand
.
Cheers

Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
OK..back on topic.
It ain't cheap. Enough reason to wait for a sale if you don't have the old RSC pack, maybe enough to give it a miss if you do.
Like the previous AP 37, superb modelling, great textures and I presume good sounds. Has anybody reported the issues that some had/have with the 50 being too quiet in relation to other locos for this?

Re: AP Class 37 Vol 2
One thing this pack brings is Blue Class 37's with a Headcode Panel in both split box and full versions
RSC did a Split box 37 - In Green with a Headcode panel and in Blue without but I have not see a Blue version with - until now.
