Consist, Player and AI spawn markers and other objects

are not working... aghhhhh.. no ability to add things like unloading points or QD consists. The link object thing just won't work. Any ideas ?

Sounds like you have Tracks.bin set to Read Only

thats the odd thing its every route tested so far . beginning to wonder if it is a windows thing use protection type nonsense

Ha ! Its the old Auto-rotate problem but in a new guise. So if you can't place track -linked objects in route editor - i.e. the yellow track link object doesn't appear you need ( and have always needed ) to make sure that you don't have auto-rotate switched on for object placement. If auto rotate is unticked than you can add track objects correctly.

So this idiot had auto-rotate turned on for a route building job and then when I went into scenario editor and tried to add a player spawn to a quick drive ( a track linked object ) the effect of having auto-rotate on in the world editor on a completely different route carried through into the scenario editor. I assume because both are editors.

Unticked auto rotate in the world editor and can now add player and consist spawners correctly in quick drive in scenario editor. Sort of obvious but a bit cranky nontheless.

And yes, I am building a new route ....
