A likely cause of the problem would be th reskins available for the railwaymen figurers from the IOW route---the base pack was updated which made the figures using the original ,GeoPcDx files incompatible. Before deleting anything check if those reskinned figures are used.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

My first check was to make sure that it was the Island Line characters that were used. They were. (Gary, how do I figure out if it was the reskins?)

So I took Ash's advice and uninstalled and reinstalled the Island Line. Unfortunately no change.

I tried to remove the Island Line assets from the scenario using both RW_Tools and TS_Tools (after making the files Read/Write) but they weren't removed. If I checked after removing them, they were still used.

So I tried the sledge-hammer approach, edited the scenario in the TS Scenario Editor and unticked the RSDL\Island Line Provider\Product. I still got strange effect.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Is no-one else running into this issue?

These are the Island Line assets used by the Pullman Departs scenario:

\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Characters2014\Man_02.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female01_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female02_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female03_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female04_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female05_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female06_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Female07_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Male01_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Male04_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Male05_Scenery.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\IOW_Workman02.bin
\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Workmen_C_01.bin

I believe the reskins lived in their own folder, but it's been a while since the issue was investigated to my memories of it are pretty foggy. As yours are all from the default location that would mean that the reskins aren't the culprits, but just to make sure try renaming the

\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Workmen_C_01.bin

and

\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Workmen_G_02.bin

files to

\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Workmen_C_01.bin.X

and

\Assets\RSDL\IslandLine\Scenery\Characters\Workmen_G_02.bin.X

and giving the route a quick test.

I've tried examining each individual scenario associated asset files and still no luck.

Hmmm, looks like more detective work is required.

I take it you're getting the graphical corruption too then?

If so, at least it shows that the issue isn't one specific to John's setup---small comfort to him I know, but it probably would make trouble shooting easier.

Thanks for the suggestion gptech.

I changed the names of those two files and tried the scenario again but unfortunately the grey triangles are still there.

@flyingoren123

Are you getting the same graphic corruption?

Anyone else?

Yes, I can deal with missing semaphore arms but unfortunately the triangle glitch makes it unplayable.

What’s odd is that in quick drive, no graphical glitches whatsoever :-?

I’m not sure if running the uninstall program removes the assets that came with the installation so if that works, I’m going to try installing the route to a separate location and then copy each asset folder one by one to see if somehow the mystery faulty asset is found.

Hi, there are a lot of scenic people assets called by these scenarios from NorthSomerset,West Somerset + a signal ladder from Exeterkingswear. These are common to both but Pullman connection has more.

It looks like the latest version of this route (1d) has removed the pesky speed limitations.

I've not experienced the graphic glitches that others have, although I have experienced identical issues on the Wycombe route. I replaced my RSDL IOW assets from an older backup, which cured that problem.

On playing the scenarios, it does seem, as GGS said, that they've not been tested. On one of the Pullman scenarios, I almost ran head-first into a stationary service outside of Arley (presumeably it should have been waiting at Arley station in the loop instead). Shame about that, but nonetheless a great route with many of the landmarks and even small details that I recognise well.

Unfortunately the majority of the scenarios that i've tried, admittedly no more than about 5 or 6, end prematurely because of a problem of one kind or another. I'm sure in the fullness of time things will get sorted.

Still trying to solve the grey triangles mystery. I've used the IslandLine assets from a 31/12/2012 backup but still get the problem.

Has anyone else had any luck?

How old was your "older backup" Ash?

John, I think it was either from 2016 or 2017 - in those days, I used to do a complete backup just before the next version was released. I think the assets distributed may have become corrupted since then, as re-downloading the IoW route from Steam made no difference.
