Thing is then you get the ones who jump the gun and someone uploads the 375 improvement patch and some assume it's to spite AP, when it's already noted it has nothing to do with the timing and has no relevance, as it's just a patch to the pack that was out a year before the EP was announced.

I am only sitting on the fence at the moment, waiting to see the SamT edition of the BML 377, but then if the AP version has DOO (which hopefully will as most stock that has driver only has had DOO implemented) I'll be persuaded by it. Another key thing I like to find, for anyone's product's like AP, Just Trains etc is DSD, I like the option to have this as I prefer it not just for realism, but gives me something extra to do when there's nothing else to do when at cruise speed

For those not interested in that, and I know some people would prefer a non-complex set up, DSD, DOO mode and all that, the SamT mod would be absolutely perfect, as the sounds are still top notch.

However, I know many companies pull the plug on previous 'versions' when a new modified release is out, that's normal but in the sake of these product's it's a shame for those who haven't got the old 375/377 soundpack. I believe there are quite a lot of good reskin's not just of 375s, but Class 387's from various TOC's that require the Class 377 AND the AP 377 Soundpack. How it works without it I don't know, just silent I guess? Or are they still useable but the default sounds come in instead?

You've got to admit that the term 'fanboy' is a great one, it does so perfectly describe the behaviour of some people who instinctively leap to the defence of their favourite developer whenever some criticism is made of them, even when justified. It's as if I buy a Peugeot 207, see some criticism of Peugeot 207s and somehow see it as a criticism of me. "Are you saying I'm a fool because I bought something that isn't perfect in your eyes? How dare you!" Rage, rage, rage etc. Hardly a rational or proportionate reaction is it? I think fanboy seems an apt word to use in these circumstances.

I wonder what the opposite of fanboy is as there's also plenty of that too? Hateboy perhaps?

Some posts have just been sent to the topic dump. This is the only time I am tidying up this thread. Any more personal attacks and the posters go on post approval and the thread gets locked.

There are far more important things going on this week such as Matt's charity stream that need my attention rather than sorting our malicious reports and personal attacks in the forums.
Kindest regards

Personally, it's not a unit I drive much anyway so the free one is mucho's for me! Besides I'm into fondling German locos at the moment until the urge passes. :)

Latest news is Güterbahnhof is doing some of the work, for those not on Facebook basically they have done a facelift of the lights and created scrolling destinations. On the demo video, London Victoria scrolls along the front, and on the side display, the destination is London Victoria and below, scrolling across is 'this is coach number 1 of 8'. I'd imagine there will be some codes for AI to enter the amount of carriages.

Never heard of Güterbahnhof to be honest until now, and see there's a WIP 317 from them, and also a Norwich to Cambridge route. where's all this hidden stuff coming from!

New name for CeeGee I believe, he did the latest rework of Xavier's Moorgate extension to ECML(S)--rather nicely I will add.

Ah I wondered how the Moorgate route got on there, I thought that was someone else, but that explains that thank you!

Same here mate. I will wait to see what the AP pack brings and look at some videos once it's out. But then I've done that with all of them before purchasing, especially as I only started simming again early this year when I got a new PC, after a 4-5 year break. So tons of DLC to catch up on, and only so much budget.

Haha, true. Although I consider staying on the ball through 25 miles of generic/repetitive country scenery with no stations or junctions as part of the overall challenge :D

£16,99 for a pack that uses one of the oldest models in the sim no thanks

That and a long list of requirements to run the 3 scenarios as well. Sadly it’s a no from me. I remember the days when these packs were 4,99 then 9,99. Oh how times have changed.

The class 377 in TS is considerably younger than many other UK locos and units (just like real life!) :-?

I do like the look of the extra's, not sure what Southern stock is available, only seem's to be the early 377/1's, 377/2's and 377/3's? Is there any 377/4's in this, as the Southern picture only shows the old lights, but the FCC /5's with the newer lights are there :-?
