Real morning/evening weekday scenario's around the rush hour period, and one Watford Curve scenario, using the Met and Circle/Hammersmith 2015 Working Timetables. All AI have correct numbering and train numbers / destinations, and also are named appropriately by their train number and route description. I've also gone OTT for some unnecessary detail and written down every S8 number set I've used in a scenario to make sure there are no repeated set numbers, not that anyone would notice and I know it's certainly over the top but I do like doing that sort of thing, maybe I've just lost the plot
I've also included a PDF Signalling Guide I made, a table showing the signal's, speed's and notes on where to you need to be at the target speed for the approach control and draw up signals. Laid out in section's to hopefully make it look easier to read, and is basically a text version of Tom's Youtube video's, and for section's not covered, I did some test runs to find out myself what they were.
I haven't used the S7+1 as AI S7's on the Circle or Hammersmith, or indeed for the 3 S7+1 sets on the Met at that time, as I understand that not everyone has the S7+1, and might not want it just for AI. To be honest it came about when I was driving the default S8 scenario's, and I was so busy driving I barely noticed the Circle and Hammersmith's S7''s were the S8 with a car missing.
14 is an odd number, it was supposed to be 15 scenario's, but the 15th scenario (Baker Street - Uxbridge) crashed out on me with an OOM, only had one S8 set on the map, but now it won't load and crashes out all the time. I was going to edit out METRP 14 as it says in the description that it continues on in METRP 15...but I can't edit no.14 now either as that also crashes with an OOM error
I have to report a bug to Just Trains, as I notice the signal after Harrow-on-the-Hill from Platform 1 is stuck on red. It doesn't protect a junction, there doesn't seem to be any approach control speed, as even 4mph wouldn't clear it, if anyone else finds this signal green then please let me know before I report it. There are siding's that don't work in the sim either, one scenario around Rickmansworth is moved to the South Sidings instead of Road 25, and one start's in the platform as Rickmansworth North Siding's doesn't work either (by that I mean you get an error in the editor saying a route is not possible due to direction of track or lack of electrification). I was going to do one S7 scenario from Wembley Sidings, but again the siding's are only for show, there is no siding marker and no shunt signals, and I tried it in the editor but the same message comes up. I'll have to see if they can be persuaded to make some adjustments.
Equally scenario 15 wouldn't have worked as well as I wanted it, as I was hoping to end it in Uxbridge Stabling Sidings, as per diagram, but road 25 isn't long enough to hold an S8 set for reversing into the yard.
Still, I have actually thoroughly enjoyed making these, and the City section really tested out the sim's dispatcher, a couple of trains I had to remove in some scenario's as AI is too intense for the dispatcher and starts crashing into each other (I've had that on other scenario's, it's not just this route, I'm used to it doing that!)
I hope you can enjoy it too!
Also keep an eye out soon for a prize draw to win a Just Trains Gift Card so you can spend it on the Metropolitan Line or the S8 Stock Advanced if you require either of those!
James.
