Yes Peter, those are exactly the recent changes that prompted me to email them. I emailed 4 days ago, no response so far.

Not that it helps you, but I've just tried with the Chiltern installer and installing to a dummy folder outside of Steam was no problem. What does the error message you get say Chris? Are you running Windows with an administrative account, and if not do you get an "elevation of privileges" prompt inviting you to input an administrator account name and password?
Gary, you've prompted me to revisit this. I always run .exe's as Admin. I have a copy of Railworks.exe in the root, where I also have the dummy folder, and that works for all .exe files from other downloads (but not for JT). Prompted by your questioning it, I have found that if I put Railworks.exe in the actual dummy folder, the Chiltern Main Line installation also works into the dummy folder. BUT . . . not for the Aylesbury Extension (as it says it can't find the Chiltern Main Line) nor for any Western Main Line extensions (as they can't find the base WML route).

Yeah, you should replicate how the game is organised...RailWorks.exe in the RailWorks folder.
I'll try some more tomorrow.
