Bossman Loco controls issue
I am trying to solve another issue and as part of that am trying to use the Jubilee. Loco loads and controls animate but nothing happens as a result, Tried re installing and two varieties with same result. Had same issue with Royal Scot a few months back and only solved by using a diffrent version.
Is anyone alse having similar issues?

Re: Bossman Loco controls issue
You have to unlock the reverser to get it to work, same for the Royal Scot, Patriot, and I think the 8F as well

These were put into scenarios via RW Tools. I also enables BMG in Providers as well but nothing works. I got them specifically to replace older versions but maybe I wasted my money which would be a bit of a shame
Re: Bossman Loco controls issue
Did you renumber them so that the number is consistent with the required format for each loco? Please check the manual to see what the format is.chrisreb wrote:chrisreb wrote:Yes I was holding E and the lock was animating but line with all the controls nothing happens - so wierd

You sir have solved it it seems! Thank you - did not realise this would disable the loco as it were if not put in. Worked on the Jubilee but not an 8F (used format in manual but have obviously missed something else). Progress at least

Re: Bossman Loco controls issue
You can always open up the scenario in the editor, and manually swap locos (which would work as you have both). Place the new on to the track at the side of the old (and number accordingly). Then click on the instruction list (driver icon plus the following symbols) on the old, and drag/drop onto the new one. Delete the old, and move the new into place. Shift/click on the loco to ensure that it is coupled properly to the consist, save, and start. I usually do an immediate restart to ensure all signals are reset.

I was trying that as I thought I could but seemed unable to drag and drop the instructions. Do you drag the driver icon accross?

Yes. DO NOT give the new loco a Driver icon. Click on the original Driver icon - it should change colour slightly. Then click and hold mouse button on that icon, and drag to the newchrisreb wrote:I was trying that as I thought I could but seemed unable to drag and drop the instructions. Ok Managed all that and Loco has a code of 8494#NB#5#12A0HH but still not working - can you see what I have got wrong here? I changed the final NN in case that was it but obviously not. Any pointers gratefully received

Re: Bossman Loco controls issue
I can't guide you on the loco number as I don't have the 8F but regressing a little in the thread you mentioned swapping locos using RW_Tools.
It should be possible to do this without issues as long as you untick the box bottom left which says "Don't change numbers when swapping stock. (When you untick it it rather strangely changes to "Change Nos when swapping stock" but don't be confused by this - it should remain unticked).
Having that unticked should force the substituted loco to use TS's randomly-generated engine numbers specific to the loco concerned.
Using either this method or Nick's suggestion of changing in TS's Scenario Editor should achieve a proper number for the loco; if it is still undriveable that surely cannot be the issue.

Thank you! The final step - if I do it via RWTools and untick the box then it finally works! With the Jubilee I can seemingly do it either way.
