TS2020 losing focus switching to desktop
For the past few months I have been experiencing a phenomenon where totally randomly TS 2020 loses focus to the desktop, ie TS "disappears and the desktop suddenly appears. I click on the TS icon in the task bar press "Continue" and all is well, TS continues. It can happen once, twice or more in a scenario. It does not appear to be route/scenario specific.
I am running TS2020 in full screen mode, nVidia GTX1080 on a GSync Monitor. No hardware changes in the last year.
Windows diagnostics were clear.
I used the "Black Viper Settings" to eliminate quite a few windows services but it still happened.
I have not tried Windows in Safe Mode or using a Clean Boot.
There have been 2 Significant Windows OS updates, 5 nVidia driver updates and one TS2020 update in that time.
I am not pressing any keys or buttons on my controller at the time.
I have checked task scheduler to ensure nothing is happening in the background.
In the end I change the GSync monitor settings in nVidia CP to work in full screen and windowed mode and in TS2020 to Borderless and this annoying artefact has stopped. Hooray!
Any ideas why this would happen? It seems a common occurrence and is reported frequently on the web.

Yes, happens to me now and again; I always put it down to 'AutoHideMouseCursor' utility I have running and didn't really think of it being anything else but that. Obviously something stealing focus though- OS can be too clever for it's own good sometimes.

Re: TS2020 losing focus switching to desktop
Well interesting - as this has suddenly starting to happen to me usually after about ten minutes play. Once restored by clicking the icon on the task bar all is back to normal and it generally does not give trouble again in the current session.
I am still running TS2019 as my working version and on Windows 7 which as far as I am aware is up to date and has been updated through Windows Update during the last couple of weeks.
I haven't checked yet to see whether this problem also affects my 'clean live' version which is obviously now TS2020 but it seems that this might not be TS related or TS2020 specific.
This is the first time I have ever experienced this problem in what has, if I dare say it, been a very stable TS2019 install for many months.
I have no mouse cursor utility.

Peter

I run AutoHideMouseCursor, and so far have not experienced this... I haven't played for a week or so though, so if there's been a recent updated to anything then I haven't tested it.
