HST: East Midlands Trains in JT Midland Mainline route.

Post by earwigo »

Hi. I am wanting to get the above class 43 unit so I can play the first scenario in Just Trains Midland Mainline Sheffield to Derby route.
Can anyone tell me from where I might get that unit?
I've got the Class 43 enhancement pack from Armstrong Powerhouse, and hoped the unit would be in there, but evidently it isn't - or am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Stuart.

Which enhancement pack do you have as there are three different ones the main one for east midlands is the vp185 pack.

That also require the vp185 pack.

I have the AP Class 43 (Valenta) Mk. 3 Enhancement Pack and the AP Class 43 (Valenta) Mk. 3 Enhancement Pack (1). Where will I find the VP185 pack?
Thanks for helping with this.

From AP as well if you already own one of them you get a discount. https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/ind ... uct_id=174

I've downloaded all the above suggestions from AP, and wanted to run the HST Network Rail Test Train, which I have also downloaded from AP. It wouldn't run, with a window suggesting the Class 158 was missing. I downloaded that and yet I still can't get the HST Test Train to run. I now have both types of Class 158.
Any ideas, please?
Thanks,
Stuart.

When you say you have both types what do you mean as from what i can see the scenario for the nr HST requires the class 159 with both class 158 enhancement packs. You are talking about the derby rtc scenario?

Now I'm confused….

(presumably the East midlands Trains livery as that's the title of the thread)
but now it's...

...so which HST are you really missing?
Have you tried placing any of the stock items you've installed in a new free roam scenario to test them rather than trying in a scenario you know won't run? Does the manual say anything about where you'd find the correct stock?

Sorry for the confusion, Gptech and others.
I want to run the scenario IQ34 Derby RTC -Hull on the East Midlands route.
This uses HST NR(NTU), produced by AP.
I have bought and downloaded the HST NR, and it appears in the sim, but I can't get the scenario to start.
I think it must be the class 159 which is missing, as you say, SkylineBoy. I'll get that and give it a try.
Again, apologies for my muddled thinking.
Stuart.

Now I'm confused:
I now have both types of Class 158.
If you have the AP Class 158 Perkins, and the AP Class 158/159 Cummings then the Class 159 is NOT missing.
To run those last 3 scenarios JT state this is the payware that you need:
Just Trains

Class 20 Advanced Collection
Class 153 DMU Advanced
Class 222 Advanced 2019
Class 60 Advanced & Freight Wagons
Cargowaggon Flat IGA PlusPak
Cargowaggon IWB PlusPak
VGA/VKA Wagon PlusPak
Voyager Advanced 2019
Steam

Freightliner Class 66 v2.0 Loco Add-On
Network SouthEast Class 159 DMU Add-On
PCA wagons from the Settle to Carlisle Route Add-On
BR Class 170 ‘Turbostar’ DMU Add-On
BR Sectors Class 56 Loco Add-On
BDA 80t Bogie Bolster Wagon Pack
BR Class 31 Loco Add-On
Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines Route Add-On

Armstrong Powerhouse

Class 142 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack
Class 150/2 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack
Class 158 (Perkins) Enhancement Pack
Class 158/159 (Cummins) Enhancement Pack
Class 43 (Valenta)/Mk3 Enhancement Pack
Class 43 (VP185)/Mk3 Enhancement Pack
Class 43 (MTU)/Mk3 Enhancement Pack
Class 66 Enhancement Pack
Class 156 Diesel Multiple Unit Pack
Class 56 Enhancement Pack
JNA-C Wagon Pack
BAA/BZA Wagon Pack
I'm not sure which scenario in the final 3 requires what from the above.

Edit the above
Please ignore from
To run those last 3 scenarios JT state this is the payware that you need:
, it should have said
To run the 12 non-default scenarios and those last 3 scenarios JT state this is the payware that you need:
I could not edit the post to reflect my changes.
