I suspect this is not a scenario issue per se, but the limitations of TS's sound system or more probably the abilities of specific sound cards or on-board sound. But scenarios may have an effect, because much may depend on the quantity and types of AI traffic in the vicinity.jstange wrote:So seems I was right - the Woodhead rescue mission has an issue of some sort, very weird indeed. Some 5-10 minutes into the scenario I completely lose the loco: increasing the regulator does nothing, I even can't hear any whistle sound. The loco runs further for a mile or two without power and then an AI collision pops up.
In the past I experienced this on two routes - the West of Scotland Lines and West Coast Main Line (North). In one case it only occurred using the Black 5 steam loco with the Steam Sounds Supreme sound enhancements, the other was with the Class 40 diesel from Railright. Both were at specific locations and after a lot of head scratching I found that editing the route and removing about 50% of the sound domes of twittering birds or quitely rumbling factories (none of which you would actually hear from a pssing train, of course) instantly solved the problem.
So I suspect it is simply an inability to cope with huge numbers of different sound files simultaneously.
