Steve has just done an update actually, available from his website which does include service car 125.

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to them!
Steve, thanks very much for the updated carriage pack. I found them on the website, but couldn't work out how to download it! I'm probably just being stupid and it's very easy but could you talk me through this please :D

Thanks :D

Hi
Afraid the updated coaches are in the full FR&WHR pack only - not available for download on their own.
Will cost you a fiver (£5.99) but its in a good cause!!

Thanks, I'll check them out. I'm happy to pay (I'd be happy to pay for any of the stock/route but I'm very thankful that it is available for free!).

Well after a self inflicted false start (forgot to run the installer as Administrator), I am really impressed with this offering. Well worth the cost.

Carriage 37 uploaded to UKTS today. Should be up at some point.
It's an MSTS conversion once again, and thanks go to Kevin Martin for giving me permission to upload it.

Hope it's useful to some of you.

Another upload just gone over, should hopefully be up soon!

One of Ben Vincer's MSTS models of Carriage 42, suitably converted and modified to become Carriage 39. Hope you guys enjoy.
Thanks go to Ben for allowing me to upload it.

Good afternoon all,

I have had a thought!
If I was successful in getting permission from all the necessary developers, would anyone be interested in an FR Scenario pack?
I may release it for say £2 with all the profits going to the F&WHR Emergency Appeal or whatever they've called it! However, if not many people are keen on the Pay-ware idea, I would consider releasing it as a free pack.
What do you all think about this idea?
Feel free to comment on whether or not you would be up for this idea.

Thanks,
Matt B

Hello all...

I just caught wind of this updated pack today after my brother saw it online. He and his family would normally be heading to Porthmadog right now for their holidays but of course sadly that isn't the case. His two lads have however been playing on the Welsh Highland line ever since I installed it for them with the help of this forum and we are of course going to purchase Steves updated version, something which they are very excited about. After reading through his website it seems to me that It will just install in to the Railworks folder with little fuss, but I just wanted to check on here first to see if I need to do anything else. Obviously I think we have all the assets already.

Sorry if it's been asked a hundred times prior to this... I did scan through the pages of this thread but there are a lot.

A big thank you to everyone who has been involved with the line since it's creation. I can't wait to see the updated one!

Hi,

There are indeed a few threads about this route now, sorry for not seeing your post earlier!

As the author of the original freeware version (it's confusing that we're both called Steve!) I was always a bit disappointed by my lack of ability to release it in a way that would financially benefit the real world FfR and WHR. So as far as I'm concerned, anything that gets a few bob across the counter would no doubt be welcome, and I'm very grateful to Steve P for his enhancement in such a way that gives a little coin to the TLC (Top Left Corner).

I've been off the TS grid for a while recently, especially with All The Madness that is currently impacting the BR (Big Railway) but I could happily do some testing if needed ... just let me know?

(Also worth noting that the NWNGR version of the WHR hasn't been enhanced yet so my cobbled together freeware route is still the only WHR one available just now  )

As always, huge thanks to Steve P and Xavier G for all their contributions which have really brought the actors to the stage that I lovingly created :) And HUGE thanks to those who've chipped in with financial donations for the real thing - really valuable in these difficult times.

Thanks,
~ Digital model railway engineer responsible for the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railways route ~

I'd certainly support this! :D

My piggy bank advisor suggests a price of £2.99. It sounds/looks/feels just like £2.00 but brings in 49.5% extra revenue per sale...

Kind regards,

A quick update as to the status of the FR & WHR Route and the donations that many of you have been making as part of downloading this route.

I'm pleased to say that the £2000 mark has been passed this week as a total of donations made to the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways and also the Talyllyn Railway since the FR route was released as "donationware" back in late May
A Big Thank You to everyone who has contributed to this and the split in funding has been approximately 75:25 between the FR & the TR.
I am very surprised and pleased that the Talyllyn route has made such a resurgence since I decided to make the route available as a download.
Any further sales will still be donated to these railways so don't stop now :)

Progress on Phase 2 of the FR & WHR is progressing well and I will be posting some pictures very soon.

Thank you very much Steve for donating proceeds of the two routes to the railways, £2000 is a very impressive amount and I'm sure both railways are very grateful.

Excited to hear that Phase 2 is in the works, looking forward to the pictures. Thanks for all your work!
