I have just bought the new South Western route from Waterloo to Bournemouth. I am in the cab of a class 444 waiting to start, and I get a piercing alarm sound which I can't stop using 'Q'. I have looked for details about the 444, but can't find anything. Could anyone kindly help me so I can cancel this alarm and get going? A manual about the 444 should help, if only I could find one!
Many thanks.
Stuart.

Stuart,
The manual, named "DTG - South Western Main Line Southampton Bournemouth Route Add-On - Route Manual - EN.pdf", should be installed at ....Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Manuals\EN. It has a section, without step by step instructions though, on driving the trains supplied. There's also a link to the manual on the product's Steam Store page.
Which scenario are you running when you get the problem? I'll try it myself when I get the chance.

Re: SWR class 444
Thanks Andy. It's the very first scenario Southampton to Bournemouth.
I'll now have a look for the manual.

Re: SWR class 444
I've just tried that scenario Stuart and the alarm sound I hear is the AWS going through its self test when the Reverser switch is moved from Off to N. I can silence it by pressing Q though. The F3/ F4 HUD button will also silence it as will clicking on the yellow AWS Reset button on the desk. Can't for the moment think of a reason why Q won't work for you. Do any of the other methods I mention work?

Re: SWR class 444
Hello again, Andy.
I've discovered what the noise is - it's the Driver Vigilance Device, and I can cancel it with the 'E' key.
I believe you can set up the scenario with an un-active DVD, so you don't have to cancel it, but don't know how to do that.

Re: SWR class 444
P.S. 'Q' works for the AWS.
Re: SWR class 444
You can disable / enable the vigilance with CTRL + D as per the manual.
