Re: NWC to Holyhead 2019
I wonder if Nick & Andy (the guys who regressed NWC1) have seen this?
Another one to add to their busy future schedule of regressions?
Class 40's enjoyed their working life so much they whistled whilst they worked

Great work on SLANC route, just love this extension.brysonman46 wrote:Yes we have, and it has been put behind SLANC!
We will then be able to drive the full Victoria to Holyhead route, well in two parts, but real world drivers would not have done the full route, looking forward to the line going all the way to Holyhead.

One small fear though, at this present time there is no longer a rail connection into the Penmaenmawr ballast terminal.
Hopefully they've put one in. Would help scenario creation enormously.

It would seem that it hasn't been used since 2012 http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index. ... -quarries/, though I do not know when the actual connection was severed.xguerra wrote:One small fear though, at this present time there is no longer a rail connection into the Penmaenmawr ballast terminal.

It will, of course, feature in the BR Blue version!

Re: NWC to Holyhead 2019
Sorry, I’m a bit new to the subject ............
I have most of the Payware dependencies listed to run the Coast line and the Conwy valley but just don’t know about two other elements.
SHG\Narrow Gauge Pack 01 - Corrie Railway. Where can I find this please?
EE type 3B - Return to Maerdy. Do I buy the route to get this? What’s its function up the valley?
Finally, should I download both NWC and NWC + C valley?
Any guidance from experienced members would be very welcome!
Thanks
Adrian

First of all, you are in the wrong thread! This is for the route that will be released by DTG some time next year.adrianinwales wrote:Sorry, I’m a bit new to the subject ............

The thread on the Freeware route based on the DTG North Wales Coastal is to be found here http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=150304
Both "Corris Railway" and "Return to Maerdy" are both available from Steam, and are needed for the Conwy Valley branch part of the route. Without them there will be gaps, and we cannot guarantee that the route will be stable.
There is no need to download BOTH routes. If you wish to go from Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog, as well as travel from Llandudno to Crewe, then you will need the larger one (North Wales Coast & The Conwy Valley Branch - BR Blue Period). If just Llandudno to Crewe, then download "North Wales Coast - BR Blue Period"
All requirements are posted on the site

Thanks for spotting my mislocated message, Nick and for the redirection and for the specific guidance
I’ve lived in the hills above the Conwy valley from the blue period onwards so your route will evoke a lot of memories - thank you!

Do we know if this is still going ahead?

Re: NWC to Holyhead 2019
I don't think there's any reason to doubt it - when DTG advertises a forthcoming release they do actually release it in close to 100% of cases, in particular if it concerns their own product. The page that was linked to was a much broader page entitled "something for the holidays" and probably has been removed for totally unrelated reasons.

I sure hope so.shaun123 wrote:Do we know if this is still going ahead?

It was laid out quite boldly in the article so I'm reasonably confident it's still going to appear, just a question of when.
