Got it - I stripped down the buckeye assets to just the one item we used - unfortunately a couple of the textures he had used were in a different folder! Now included in the revised packsmarty2 wrote:That's fine, just polishing the edges off!

Re: North Wales Coast - BR Blue Route now available for download
Thought the original route was very good, although the lineside view has changed a bit since I first travelled down the line in 1982, now means I can enjoy the line as I first saw it, just been running the scenarios through RWTools to see what I am missing stock wise, only a handful of items to swap out for things that I am missing, although the route is looking fantastic for the small bit I have driven so far, the scenarios that come with it need some authenticity as class 31`s and 37`s are at least 10 years too early for the route. That is the easy bit to swap though, the hard work has been done to the route, thanks to all that have been involved into back dating the route and look forward to phase 2.

A great update to the original. Would the North Wales route have had continuous rail in early 80's? I was just wondering if it should be jointed - if so it would add to the atmosphere.

I was actually about to post, having spent the past couple of hours driving the route (I'm on the US east coast, before anyonej checks the time and ask!)kevrob2 wrote:A great update to the original. I have heard virtually no rail joint sounds, even over points and crossovers, let alone on open track, and at any speed, and with several different consists. I did hear a couple of clicks approaching Llandudno Junction from the west, but that's about it. I do agree, part of the "atmosphere" of nostalgic railway memories is that clickety-clack and rattling over junctions.
Is this down to the track rule, or something more complex?
Once more, not to detract from the great job this route displays

Now that really is strange, because we have changed the track to jointed rail. Andy is the expert on the line in that period, as his home was in North Wales and he worked in Manchester. He assured me that the rail was still jointed, and we put that in. All our testers hear the clickety-clackkevrob2 wrote:A great update to the original. Check your DTG\NorthWalesCoast folder. As well as the .ap archive, there should be other folders, including RailNetwork - this will contain folders Signals, Track, TrackRule. In the Track folder you will see the conc_joint and wood_joint rail sets. These are included in the updated UK_Track_Rule in the TrackRule folder
Edit: Oh **************. Just noticed that I have forgotten to put in the extra Audio files. So you will not hear the sounds. In the update shortly

For those who cannot wait for the update to get the track joint noise, here are the necessary files to drop into your Assets folder

Well DTG did define some orange (sodium) lamps, but when you try to use them in a new set of streetlights cloned from the original, you get the same result.brysonman46 wrote:If it was for WCML-N, then we cannot use it (without hauling in the whole of that DLC). Not to worry - I am on to it, and will have some sodiums by this evening!smarty2 wrote:Hi Andy, pretty sure there was an update to the WCMLN route by Keith, he used sodium lighting extensively in that patch. Or was it by somebody else?
So it is looking like a no go. As these are based on the default Kuju set, then I cannot go down that road either
In the original assets there are station lights that are called white and others called orange. They produce the same light! There are some that do not produce any light as well!

They are UKTS_33137_Class_47_Tweaks and UKTS_33272_Class47-PreHIH-Domino so you should be able to search for them in the downloads section of this site.

Re: North Wales Coast - BR Blue Route now available for download
Regarding the rail joint sounds, it was something that I noticed while running test scenarios to check the scenery as I was progressing - the rails were definitely jointed in the 80s so I asked Nick if it could be changed, Nick figured out how to do it ( of course ), so we now have jointed rail.......you can either follow Nick's instructions now ( to obtain the rail sounds ) or wait until we release an update shortly to cover known/reported issues.
Do please continue to let us know about anything that does not seem right, with so many amended files/folders it is always possible that something might not make it's way into the initial package, we can also try to improve or correct anything that you feel may be factually incorrect or inaccurate, within the SIM's limitations of course. We will incorporate any amendments in the NWC & Conwy Valley - BR Blue route which will be ready shortly

Hi Nick, you are using assets from WCML2 yes? The urban point lights are orange. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1579462152

Ahhh - the point lights - will check. I thought you were talking about the streetlights. We have used the DTG\NWC\...\Urbanglow. This can be changed to the WCML2 version.smarty2 wrote:Hi Nick, you are using assets from WCML2 yes? The urban point lights are orange. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1579462152
Have you managed to sort that scenario? We hope to get an update out around next Wednesday, and could include it in the package.
And that applies to anyone else who would like a scenario to be included
