What are the settings like?

Is it do it once
or each time you run the game
or run a scenario

How does it improve if you are not using the AP Weather Enhancements Pack?

Thanks

It replaces core files Peter, so it's a 'one shot' fix.

By replacing those core files with *better* ones; the AP packs is not a requirement.

Thanks Gary - I might give this a try for less than £10

So having purchased the RW Enhancer it seem to install ok but I'm having a problem when I run it

I'm just getting an outline box with nothing else - tried running it normally and As Administrator

Anybody else have this problem and what is the fix?

I sent the support an email but it might take a few days to get reply at this time of year

Peter749
I had a similar issue but got around it by installing the RW_Enhancer in Windows safe mode.

Also AV sometimes gets picky over it. Once installed I just checked the options were what I wanted and clicked apply and that was it.

Yes it does say on the website and in the readme about issues with certain Av solutions. Installed without issue for me.

The anti virus solutions (is solution the *right* word?) we use are all susceptible to erroneously flagging any file as *suspect*. Those that go further than just checking files we have on our hard drives, checking files before download for example, have an even greater potential for throwing up "false positives". Some even use a 'black list' of *dodgy* URLs to preclude downloading any file from sites considered as unsafe---I use NOD32, it refuses to allow me to access, never mind download from, Mike Simpsons new site for RW Tools, insisting that it's a site identified with unsafe content. Obviously a false positive, and yes, I've made Eset aware, but as Martin has alluded to in his post, many issues we have are fundamentally caused by our own decisions---which AV to install being one of those decisions we make.

'P' in PC and all that...… look close to home before looking elsewhere as the source of any issue.

I was curious as to whether or not this set of shaders solves the 'back-to-front' rendering of particle effects (smoke emitters). To the dev: mighty fine work!

This looks interesting and I’m keen to give it a go. If it’s replacing core files, is there an uninstall process?

EDIT: JRTM and there’s an option to restore to default.

After a number of suggestion from their Tech Support and changes to things on my computer which did not help resolve the problem they are going to give me a refund.
I was able to install the program - when I run it I get the blank overlay as in my screen shot but Task Manger tells me the Program is running.

I will give it a miss for now

You did receive an answer from them, Peter? I am still waiting for mine even when I wrote them earlier than you... weird

Peter, what version of Windows are you using and do you have any special Windows theme installed?

jstange wrote:So I may have just thrown 10 euros away... Installed the RWE shaders using the default settings, it looks better, no problem with that, but the TS is no longer as fluid as it used to be, you can see some minor stuttering especially on the edges of objects and on the horizon. Reverted back. To me this spoils the experience despite the better visuals. Asked for a refund, not sure they will be willing to provide it though... :(

I'm running with a 30 FPS cap, vsync on and SSAA, this gives me a very fluid motion in TS so perhaps I am more sensitive than others in this regard and I believe many others may just be very happy with the product. TS definitely looks better with it, that's for sure...
Although this tool makes my TS look outstanding, I too have a quite noticeable performance hit, but that said i'm not 100% sure what most of the settings in the tool do!! :o . I need an idiots guide! So i have reverted back for now, TS runs comfortably for me on all max settings bar shadows and water. I haven't given up on it, i just need to know more about what i am doing!

Cheers

The main one you'll want to turn off is SSAO as it's the biggest hitter performance wise.
