As in ..\steamapps\common?

If so, that ain't supposed to be there, nor will it have been put there by this route's installer. What's inside the folder?

I have a steamworks shared folder dated today in my common folder, steam just did some update for TS.
Contains installers for DX OpenAl PhsX and VC+

How do you know it's for TS? There's nothing in the naming or in the contents to suggest it's purely for TS; if it was it'd make more sense for it to be within the game's folder tree.

Hi Gary, it came down as a TS update last night - only other change seems to be the steam appid.txt file in the Railworks folder. Might be the installers for the 64 bit versions. :)

Could be something in that. Take your current Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Install folder as an example, it has the vcredist_x86.exe file that has always been there. Look in the new folder and it has the same file alongside a 64-bit version.

Did this TS update come through before the Steam client loaded, or once loaded did the Steam client show TS as being updated?

EDIT: It seems that it isn't a TS specific thing, nor something particularly new...

Installed the Route, but unfortunately the London Underground tunnels are not working as the tunnel is not complete and I can see green land and blue sky above. Can anyone help?

Yes. Look at my posts and Alex55's very helpful replies on pages 8,9, 10 and 11. :) All easily sorted.
