There are many looking forward to 64bit TS to enable running of longer routes; don't forget though that a *less than optimally* built route, or indeed a perfect one that calls for a *dodgy" asset .bin file, has exactly the same potential to bring down a 64bit core as it does 32bit.
Don't think that a 64bit architecture will cure all ills.

Do PDT and SWE share the same origin, or is having the same place name in each being taken that they're d go together nicely?
Personally, I wouldn't consider SWE being anywhere near a state that makes such a move feasible---it has far too many flaws.

I'm pretty sure the new Portsmouth Direct has the same Guildford origin as the older route?

True, but then again they are "fixable" :)

A big job to be sure, but in he past you have fixed quite a bit and I have fixed a little bit  . ...Although the route, as published, can be driveable, witness UKTS 36919, it's had 182 downloads with no adverse ( or any other kind for that matter :D ) comments.

QUOTE>>(Having said that I notice the New Portsmouth Scenery starts at the same place as Photons South West England, now that opens up some ideas !!

<< Em :( Oh :-? what I meant to say :) was that they have similar start points

London Portsmouth Direct Line 51.2373 -0.5814
Portsmouth Direct Line (DPS) 51.2373 -0.58135
Waterloo Portsmouth Direct Line (JT) 51.2373 -0.58135
South West England 51.5017 -0.10859

Except  that they are al correctly sitting over Guildford and the two that have Waterloo Station ALSO are correct.

I'm not surprised about this because Photons South West England INCLUDES the Portsmouth line route in its entirety anyway (no Scenery)

As some very clever person has just recently joined some WCML's together and someone (apologies for forgetting the names) upgraded ECML Euston I just started to get an idea.
Cheers :D

John...look those lat and lon pairs up....SWE has an origin miles away from the other routes.

Hi Gary, yes I checked the co-ordinates on Google Earth.

PDL Start Point is Guildford but goes to Waterloo
SWE Start Point is Waterloo but goes to Guildford and Exeter

What I'm saying is that at a point (Guildford) they are all in the same place (lat & Long) its just that SWE ALSO has Waterloo which is the SWE start point how Photon did that i dont know because he must have used Portsmouth Direct Line as his template because otherwise why (how) did he put it in.

In the same way WCML does not have the same start points, two routes have Carlisle which IS in the same place (Long & Lat) If you take two paper maps one London to Guildford and the other Guildford to Portsmouth they both start in different places but you could join them into one.
I think our friend who joined the WCML's together found out how to do that.

Gary I havnt any idea how you join routes but someone has shown its possible. and any route that has Waterloo AND Victoria and Portsmouth AND Exeter is a winner AND if it had Brighton too..... Well I would start dishing out my pennies straight away.

I know I made a mistake with tiles and start point in my LMR, I used Google Earth view I followed Google Earth route but still ended up with a Long and Lat of 00000. 00000. But then it was my first attempt. :(

Cheers John

John, the lat and lon values you've given for SWE are significantly different to the other routes. If you open the routes in the editor, using the origin, what lat/lon values are shown in the compass? what is the tile number?

Hi,

What is the typical releasedate(month) for this type of updates ?
I cannot remember, the last couple of years were not really exciting for me.

thx

Usually between September 15 and 25, Thursday in most (or all?) cases, so my expectation this year is September 20.
