Sorry, my mistake---I was under the impression you were coupling to the stock for some reason.
However, the story is very much the same...the ADV DVT will not respond when you switch ends; that's any ADV DVT with any loco other than the 90 and the AP enhanced 87.

I don't want to contradict you Gary old mate but it does work, just in a limited way, e.g no key controls for the reverser dsd and headlights or wipers. You would have known that had you run the scenario I sent you?

Yes. you're right...I did state about the ability to turn the lights on earlier (I think)
yes, I've run the scenario--crashed my PC dead after swapping stock for that I did have until I realised that you'd used a 'rolling start'---change stock and it messes that up as it's effectively a 'saved progress start' and holds the information about the scenario when the roling start was created. As I'd changed the contents of the consists involved the game quite rightly gave up in desperation when it was told to display 2 utems, one I didn't have, in the same physical space. Removing the rolling start fixed that and had no bother until service 7 went off path---fixed that too; duplicate wagon number in the consist so as only one wagon of any running number is valid in the instructions the service couldn't drop off the wagon in the middle ,and the game threw a hissy over that. Using ythe HUD version of the DVT gives you control over the lights, so that works properly now that's changed.
Need to test it again all the way through and it'll be on it's way back to you.
Bottom line is, as it's always been, use the HUD or UNI DVTs in scenarios with a loco other than the 90 or AP enhanced 87. As Chris has stated, you lose the cold start feature and also the DVT's luggage door won't open---not huge losses, I've yet to see those implemented in scenarios, and whilst many *advanced* features are dead cool they're not much use if they ain't used.

All I did was change the number of the duplicate wagon, and then add it to the 'drop off' instruction in the correct place in the list.smarty2 wrote:That's interesting about the wagon numbers Gary! I will chop that out and try again, cheers!

Here we go again! I checked all those wagon numbers and none were duplicated, so as a precaution I renumbered all of them and re-entered them into the instruction box! Still going off path due to not obeying the drop off instruction?gptech wrote:All I did was change the number of the duplicate wagon, and then add it to the 'drop off' instruction in the correct place in the list.smarty2 wrote:That's interesting about the wagon numbers Gary! In the instruction or by looking at the wagons individually?smarty2 wrote: I checked all those wagon numbers and none were duplicated
only one instance of a duplicate number will show in the timetable instructions.gptech wrote:duplicate wagon number in the consist so as only one wagon of any running number is valid in the instructions
Moot point, as on re-trying the scenario tonight it still didn't drop off the wagons. Next theory is that 12 of 'em are too long for the siding marker (8 will fit), so next test is to drop of 6 in the loop before moving to the siding to drop off the others.
