Yeah, it is better. The motion is a little lighter and the boiler too which makes the smokebox look darker.

Agreed. The sounds are poor. After you pass 27mph it sounds nothing like a steam locomotive. I would interested to hear if someone has an improved Audio for this model,

But's that's for the tank loco version, isn't it?

I've got the SSS now discontinued pack for the DT 2-6-0 and 4-6-0 tender and it defiantly doesn't work on the DTG 4-6-0 out of the box. Does anyone know if it can be made to work?

Both DT and DTG's 4-6-0 have good and bad points. The valve gear on DTG's is more detailed and correctly annimated, so it would be great to be able to overcome its principle shortcoming which is bad chuff sounds.

I overhauled the textures a while ago for personal use due to model and shader limitations this is about as good as they can get due to shared textures for 90% of the loco, I also made some replacement glass for the exterior cab since there bugged can download below if you like it overrides the default one but doesnt replace them due to .ap taking less priority so can delete them anytime you like and it will revert back.

Thanks for this Ash. Very nicely done. Just that little touch needed to make the Std 4MT no longer look like a matt black blob. And the windows are now much better too as they were practically non-existent on the original.
