Hi John - love your routes. I am anxious to get this one running properly, but still cannot find the followingussvoyager wrote:Derby - Manchester - Sheffield beta 51.

Jetgriff\Birmingham1959\Stations\Sign..........
As I use Mullys Cooling Towers to spot missing assets, it is difficult to negotiate stations at the moment!

Hi Nick
The Birmingham 1959 files were from when I merged Birmingham1959 and Chinley routes.... they are the Station signs which I redid as Jetgriff\Chinley\Stations\Sign*****
they can be disregarded until TS somehow thinks fit to remove them.. I tried all ways.... just ignore...

Not a problem them - I can just remove using RWTools! Or go into editor and remove the orange cooling towers!

Re: Derby - Manchester - Sheffield beta 51
that's the way Nick, their ghosts are on the stations somewhere... will look myself.
Another quirk is the train controller routing trains from main lines even through yards sometimes....
i.e. up fast trains passing Heeley Carriage sdgs.
and just past Gow Sdgs on up fast putting them over to the slow...
solve (if you are creating scenarios) by putting in a 'go via' hand.... correct route sdg markers I have placed on the correct line just in front of where you are diverted.
Always check the route given (in the red line) in Editor.
The Midland Pullman St P to Manchester has a late evening start due to not dep St P untill 18.10 so will get dark quickly, I have not really done much yet to that scenario....
faults feedback as usual please so I can build rather than test runs.

Yes, the running through goods loops is always a problem - but, as you say, go vias usually work.ussvoyager wrote:that's the way Nick, their ghosts are on the stations somewhere... will look myself.

An anomaly - containers. Very few around in 1960. I have removed those from my copy, as well as the Mercedes Actros trucks (only came out in 1995). Oh, and the stray bits of OHLE! (Apart from a false start as some files were read only!)
Apart from those, a great route. It will tie in very nicely with the networks that I am building. I have a large slice of the WCML in the 1960s in hand, as well as routes in Lancashire. The network SLANC I am building with Andy freeman is set in 1980, but on completion it will be reverted to 1960.
I will PM you
regards
Nick

Now we have the Midland Pullman running and it bye passed Derby I have redone Derby North (not the main lines just the branch) to Spondon Station, putting in new Chad sidings and carriadge sheds. Never realized how many sidings there were there miles of them.
