Reskins / .bak

Post by GaryL »

I am at a total loss.

I done a rake of reskins back in January and hadn't played the game for a few months. When I went to select my reskins on my return to the game, the game was displaying the original skin. I then had a look in the folders and deleted a rake of .bak, .bak1, .bak 2 bin files etc, which worked and I got my reskins back. Hooray!

I then return to the game a few hours later yesterday evening and the orginal skins are showing again, not my reskins. .bak files have reappeared in the folders, which I've since deleted but my reskins haven't returned in game. I have no idea why this is happening as there is no trace back to the original skin in any of the folders.

I appreciate any assistance, please.

.bak files are usually produce by RW Tools when it's saving an edited copy of a .bin file. They shouldn't reappear again just by playing the game.
Check that your .bin files are referencing the .GeoPcDx file in your reskin ffolders and not still the default one. If that pans out, check the textures really are those you edited and not a straight forward copy of the defaults.
