TS20xx and Google Earth

Post by rkk01 »

Like many folks, I use the GE tool in the TS Route Editor...

The reason escapes me now, but I backdated my GE version (might have been RWDecal compatibility...?), but also as NR seem to have been “rationalising” track all over the network, the older aerial imagery is often more useful...

Which brings me to the “clock” tool on GE Pro. At work we use this feature all the time to look at previous (date stamped) aerial imagery - magic, makes work very easy...

But, is this tool available outside GE Pro, and if not is GE Pro available for private use???

I have an older version of GE Pro on my comp. It was free from the GE website but a small fee was payable if I wanted the 2018 super duper version. It comes with all the same tools and odd bodds but I just don't know how to use them.
I got it for the kids only.

I'm using Google Earth Pro at home - I seem to recall that a few years back, Google stopped charging for it and from the Google Earth download page(https://support.google.com/earth/answer/168344?hl=en):
The Pro versions of Google Earth 6.0 and earlier are no longer supported. Google Earth Pro 7.1.5 and earlier requires a license key. If you do not have a key, use your email address and the key GEPFREE to sign in.
According to wikipedia (I know...) as of July 2017; Pro became the standard edition with version 7.3

Truth is rarely pure, and never simple.
