Rail joint sounds...?
I have been trying to get rail joint sounds to work on a homebrew route build... but think I have inadvertently used a track rule for continuously welded track
Is there a way to quickly edit the track rule???

Re: Rail joint sounds...?
RW-Tools is your friend here!!
In your routes Networks folder, open the Tracks.bin using RW-Tools. Use the search function Ctrl+F. Search for the first reference to the track rule by entering it's name in the top box and clicking on Find. Copy the track rule file path and name, Ctrl+F to open the search field. Paste into the top box. In box below, put in the exact file path and name of the track rule you would like to use. Click on Replace All. Save.
**WARNING**
Just in case something goes wrong, BACK UP THE TRACKS.BIN BEFORE YOU START!!!
Kind Regards
Matt

Re: Rail joint sounds...?
Thanks!
I’ll give that a try when I’ve next got the desktop PC fired up
ETA - I think I still need to use the same track rule, just with the rail joint sounds changed. Presumably that woul m an edit track rule and save as a new version - then undertake the edit above???

RWTools does that for you. The old one is kept as tracks.bin.bak92212 wrote:RW-Tools is your friend here!!![]()

Re: Rail joint sounds...?
The sounds may be in the track's files rather than the rule, it can be a bit of a paper chase tracking down the right file....rule>track>audio used>audio file itself.....rkk01 wrote:I think I still need to use the same track rule, just with the rail joint sounds changed.
