As I reported, I had the exact same. Was alright after restarting TS. Are you saying this comes back from time to time? Or was it only the first time you tried driving these engines?

I have all the victory locos. I was just wondering if it has a separate lamp for the cab, I know that there is a firebox glow, but wondered if it was enough to light the cab properly.
I looked at the manual on the steam page but did not mention anything about it.

Thanks

Sorry I posted this on Facebook 2 days ago but seem to have missed putting it here
Thank you to everyone for their kind words and feedback on the recently released LNER Q6
http://store.steampowered.com/app/64280 ... oco_AddOn/

We did have some gremlins sneak through QA one of which was the BR Dirty 1956-67 variant was spawning in QD's with no cylinder caps - we are pleased to say that this was patched this morning.

We've also had reports of some people having issues with the in cab steam reverser lever getting stuck in full forwards/reverse which we tracked down this morning (it was caused by a REALLY peculiar bug!) along with an issue with the NER lining not vanishing when it was told to when set in the loco number.
A patch for both of these issues has been sent to DTG and should make its way to you via Steam in the next few days.
The patch is still pending release but it fixes the steam reverser issue that some people were getting.

Anthony, the Q6 doesn't have a cab lamp as we find open tender locos don't tend to need them as much as closed cabs, but for the past couple of releases we've also been adding a "filler" light to the cab so if you open the firebox doors you get the light from the fire illuminating the backhead controls, as you would in real life due to light reflection which TS doesn't simulate (let's be honest, it can barely handle normal lighting and shadows  )

Okay doke. The reason I ask was in the real footage that was posted in the main victory thread, I saw one going past with a lamp showing on the r/h side of cab.
Anyway not to worry I will get it anyway as always....

Thanks

Just wondering could it be that the preserved loco has a light in the cab, whereas in LNER & BR they didn't have the light in the cab.

No it was in the utube link that was posted, the loco did look like it was on it's last legs and dirty in service.

Has the patch for the reverser glitch gone live yet ?
Thought I would wait to get it in case I had the problem

I have been creating a series of scenarios for the CKPR route, using the "British Railways 1950-56 Livery" of this lovely to shunt with loco.
It is so responsive to its steam brake, I can "kiss the buffers" everytime. If you are coming in a bit fast, one just needs to give the brake another squeeze and you get an instant response.
I also found if I braked a bit too hard and it looked like it was going to stop too short, a relax of the brake and it will gain a bit more momentum.
I don't particularly like the look of this loco with its low slung boiler, in fact IMO it's a bit of an ugly duckling.
But the sounds and responsiveness during shunting and those wonderful wagons, its been a great buy.

Roland.

Mike, thank you very much you're a star! Wiki has them listed as 6F, someone was trying to telling me they were a 7F but if Ian Allan says they were 6F's that's good enough for me.

Thanks Michael, that's much appreciated. I tend to enjoy running locos in 'foreign' places as a kind of what if. I had 63372 running on the wlos but of course in reality it was cut up in 1960 following an accident.
