well giving the fact ap removed ANYTHING that had virgin branding on there packs i doubt very much AP will use the new class 390. Who knows we will just wait to see

They use the Virgin-branded JT Voyager

Based on what I checked with the extra stock packs and video previews the branding was simply removed from the Virgin liveries.

They did along with a Virgin-branded reskin of the old S9BL 390 as proven by the WCML scenario packs. But since that was a third party reskin AP removed the branding for the extra stock....but if there is a default Virgin livery from a non-AP vendor where the branding cannot be removed then there’s a chance that AP will use it.

I can create a scenario for the Riveria Line that utilises rolling stock accurate to the period and area but a fictional timetable, and that can be said to be an authentic experience. The sounds recorded for the APT and 2HAL are authentic, but for obvious reasons they aren't realistic.
I think the term should custom should be used not authentic, authentic means real or very close, sell a copy of a operating system with an authentic looking serial code, but it wont work, opening an authentic looking email with a link to your bank but it is not real, authentic to me and most other would mean, recorded from a real train and to a high standard, anything else is custom.

AP would not be making the logo`s, so there is no reason why then would not make an enhancement pack using the new class 390 should they decide to do so, AP does not have a licencing agreement with Virgin, but DTG does so DTG would have the logo and AP would be just upgrading the product.

and what makes you think AP will be required to make an enhancement pack for the new class 390. Have you saw it or heard it to make that judgement that ap would need to make an enhancement pack ?????

With the recent issues with AP and Virgin requiring AP to remove Virgin branding i highly doubt an enhancement pack will be created for the class 390 by AP sadly

Asking for a AP enhancement pack before seeing anything other than a picture. DTG might surprise us and it'll be a really good DLC not needing a AP enhancement pack. And looking at the other enhancement packs most of them came with their own repaints and as AP can't do Virgin Trains at the moment it makes a 390 enhancement pack unlikely as sticking mics all over a class 390 getting the sounds without approval from Virgin Trains might be a bit tricky. Anyway not everything needs a AP enhancement pack some of us are happy with what other devs do.

There's no two ways about it. AP won't make an enhancement pack. It seems very silly to think they would make one, especially since we haven't seen anything of DTG's new 390. Ye of little faith. The APT-P was pretty good.

"I want an AP enhancement pack of a DTG train we don't know exists yet."

But they still could make scenarios using DTG's new model like they do with JT's Voyagers.

I fear I may be weak. It's another first day purchase from me. Might finally bring Trent Valley route to life for me. I've had it since it was released and have only done one journey on it.

I think I will be getting this new 390 if it has the same Cab Tilt feature like the APT.
I notice too they will be in 9 and 11 car formations

I prefer to run 87 & 90 on Trent valley route, the class 390 for me is the worst of all the plastic trains modern real world trains, that said if the New Pendolino has the same tilt features as the APT then I will buy it, otherwise will stick to the current version as it mostly gets used as AI services for modern day scenairos.

The last couple of days, I've seen a couple of Pendolinos with new livery, I suppose this pack will have the older livery. I only noticed it yesterday at Wigan, then going to Glasgow today (in a car) I noticed one heading towards Glasgow.

Information from this post on the DTG Forums
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/thread ... post-26980
As this is an extensive rework and remodel of the set, and being brought to the Pro Range library, we felt it was more appropriate not to disturb the existing set (as there are numerous scenarios on Workshop and lots of people that still love the original pack). So what this means is that this will release as a separate pack and we're keen to add a reasonable discount for all of you that currently own the existing pack.
