I too am holding off spending too much on "other" items.
I found the answer to a number of locos that take hits on any PC is to limit them to the Player loco and use "other" versions to the "AI" traffic.

For those without Facebook, a short demo of the Black 5. This video was taken a few months ago so some features (such as the RETB) weren't present at the time:

Looks great indeed. Ben, would you consider implementing something similar to the performance mode that the 812 from DT has? Something that enables you to easily turn off the glow effect inside the cab etc. so that there's still good performance even on slower machines?

Sorry slightly unrealted, What's the 812 like? the video trailer on DT is very cinematic but shows little of the engine features itself.
Well, BMG were assisted with Meshtools in the cab creation so performance may actually be rather good in cab.

Really can't wait for this one, from the initial ideas chucked to the finished project will be great to see! Heck, even the very typical whisp of the cylinder drain cocks might be in there!

I can't tell you I am afraid; I don't have the 812 yet. Just saw the perf mode in one of the youtube videos... But I am going to get it at some point.

Now I'm fully concentrated on the coming Black 5.. if it runs well on both of my PCs it will keep me busy for quite some time :)

I fired these many many time in the 60s, so roll on the release so I can see if its as good as they say it is.

I agree with May 17th too, works with the DTG comment which said: "You will be driving by the end of May".

Many thanks,
Nick

Just seen Bossman Games have posted number 9. Seems to suggest that it will be a countdown to Thursday 17th May.
