Derek, drop into the Scenario Editor and double click the loco---the properties box on the left will show you the assigned number. See if its in the correct form of 37800x or whether it's a long string of gibberish.

Thanks adburgess for the patch version 2 !

I have installed it from the link you gave. I then "re-swapped" the Europhenix 37800 into my original scenario and.....................................HEY PRESTO...IT WORKS ! I now have a nicely coloured 37800 to play with !

Thanks for your perseverance on this subject and for everyone elses help and suggestions too.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all those wonderful designers of routes, assets, scenarios etc, that bring so much pleasure into our lives ! And not least those that help me out when I am stuck.
