DTG seem to have created a product where development time for content is much greater than TS. I can't see how the market is going to significantly increase in size, so DLC (for the same price) will be more meager in content, which is what seems to be happening.

This is not going to meet the desires of many current customers, and poor sales will result.

I may be wrong, but it's looking to me like a minor miracle will be needed to turn this product around.
Is this not exactly what happened when Rail Simulator launched in comparison to detail and development times from MSTS. Apart from the obvious reason being that it's a Dovetail product, why is everyone so fiercely pessimistic?

Speculation is always going to be offered in forums like these that won't change.

I have no interest in the way DtG plan their business or how they run it, all I'm interested in as a customer is, do I want to purchase what they create and sell? At the moment as far as TSW is concerned that answer is no, purely because I feel it is being sold in a very limited way content and re playability-wise.

I am quite surprised though at the content I have purchased over the years for railworks and that is a considerable amount, of the stuff I haven't even tried! But since the 2018 update I have found myself using the sim more because it is really performing great for me, long may that continue?

At least it's not as bad as the Steam forum on here yet, what with talks of boycotting, protests, petitions etc, always good for a chuckle the Steam forum with all the 'Mr Angry' type posts.

Not having the money right now, this will be put on hold until the next sale, I think.

Anyone got it? Opinions?

Just watched the vid, and I won't be purchasing, not impressed at all. With just one emu it will quickly turn into a snore fest for me, as they say in the dragons den... "I'm out"!

Got it -
had a quick goat the first scenario.
Graphics are smooth, volume a bit quiet, but that might be my old rig and the need to tweak some settings on the on board sound card.
The route has potential for freight once DTG has another train for it.

and I need to practice my driving and braking a bit more - overshot the second station....

I look forward to playing a bit more later on.

I too pre-purchased it and have only had a quick ten minutes on it. Nice smooth graphics and from what I have seen so far it is all modelled to a good standard. I am sure there will be DLC for it in the future to add a bit of variety. I was caught out by the brakes and nearly overshot a station. I look forward to exploring the complete route.

I have seen this on other forums and social media. Some people seem to have some kind of personal problem with DTG which I don't understand! No matter what, they seem to have to find a fault even if the good points massively outweigh the bad, they will magnify something minor and ignore any good points. They act as though DTG is some kind of enemy not a company which makes computer games and simulators!

I've worked on some Class 170s that seemed to be like that before!

Drove an (very) old International prime mover once with hand operated wipers. They worked wet or dry

Hi,

Can you show me some detailed repro steps - specifically which scenario / train and i'll take a look and pass it on to the team.

Thanks,

Matt.
