DPSimulation New Route - Exclusive First Look

Post by SkylineBoy »

Just sat for an hour or so watching a Twitch stream from Alan Thomson, he's added this video to his Youtube channel as well. Seems to be the ECML and Durham Coast, at least from what has been seen so far.

Presumably Darren's further extended East Coast Mainline: North East - already a real treat of a route :D . Looking forward to the further extension.

That is what I had initially thought as well, during the stream Alan said it was a brand new route though. I guess more information will come to light.

Looks absolutely fantastic! Can't wait for this one. Such attention to detail and really does represent the actual route.

Looks excellent but please get rid of those cursed, frame-rate killing 3D-trees - watch the rate drop from 29 down to 20 every time the line goes between stands of the abnormal growths.

As part of the testing team, I can assure you it has no significant affect on my setup. I cannot comment on Alan's setup but perhaps running with the streaming software has an impact on framerates. Recording is a dark art to me :o

Brilliant looking route, great attention to detail. Surely payware or at least a min donation?

Certainly worth a donation from me. It's something I do on a semi-regular basis anyway, the site has provided me with so much content over the years.

Nice route, but a somewhat OTT commentary and in places rather egotistical, as in "I'm one of only four who have this route" - and for that reason I've given the video a thumbs down. Think I'll watch the next one with the sound off.

Looks Like Darren has pulled another one out the hat! Well done sir, top levels of detail, immersion, scenario potential rivals the best payware from what we can see so far! :o :)
Best Regards

The old ECML North East had got as far as East Garforth on the outskirts of Leeds and was intended to eventually go to Leeds. Sadly it would appear that is no longer going to happen.
