It might be of use to others, but even if the problem was purely specific to your installation it'd still add to the collective knowledge base.

A couple of weeks ago I made a copy of WCML over Shap, so that I could play around with route building and extend from Preston over to Blackburn and Burnley.

I copied the route has you have suggested in the past, by coping the route file, changing its folder name and changing the route title. What I didn't do was delete the workshop scenarios that copied over as well.

So I suspect the issue was duplicate scenarios.

It was a strange one though, as the other career scenarios loaded and played ok, it was just the new ones that came with the APT that wouldn't load, and of course the workshop ones that didn't even show in the "standard" list.
