I'm a ignoramous when it comes to locos of the LNER, but I based it on the fact that the old (freeware) DT N2 had destination options for 'York' 'Darlington' and 'Newcastle'. I'm probably wrong...

I was just happy that someone has finally moved away from basically offering BR as a default, in several versions, with say one grouping and one pre-grouping livery tacked on. It shows DT's confidence that earlier stuff is so much prettier, and of course will also be a test to see how many people buy the non-BR ones compared with those who buy the inevitable addon livery pack...

Besides, it's not the first time. VW did it with the saint, BMG did it with the S15.

These tank loco's were allocated to West Auckland,1945-50 a couple of N9,1945-May 1960 J71 and J72.
By 1959 only 1 A8 was on shed

This pack would be ideal for the freeware Cambridge and East Coast Mainline,which goes from Kings Cross to Cambridge and just past it,and also Kings Cross Peterborough,it's set in the steam era,no modern colour light signals are used on the route.Cambridge Steam Shed is included,as are other sheds,well worth downloading.
You can find it under this title Cambridge Lines & The ECML v3 in the UKTS file library

That's interesting thanks for that, I had looked into their allocation history but hadn't spotted that any were there.

Mike,

Where did you see the information that N2's were at West Auckland? I can't find any evidence on the BR database, it shows several Q6's which is interesting.

There were no N2's allocated to West Auckland just N9 9422 between 1946-49

I just had my first drive of the "N2" on the Weardale-Teesdale route, beautiful looking inside and out, also great sounds and easy to drive.

As far as I can judge DT (quite sensibly) based their very well done model of the LNER quad-art on the 1924 built example as preserved on the NNR. This set is similar to the GNR quad-arts that were first delivered in 1921, so yes, GNR livery would have been possible (if we overlook a few details like the Gresley bogies, the destination boxes that were fitted from 1928 and the missing toplights in the passenger windows)...

The only unusual allocation I can find for an N2 is 69564 which was shedded at Carlisle Canal from 1957 until it was withdrawn in 1961.

Ah well, maybe Matrix Trains will do GNR livery for their GNR Non-Corridor stock to give us something to run the GNR N2 with!

The N2 is now released, I hope everyone enjoys it and the BR liveries will be out soon, however, you will need the base pack to buy the BR livery pack that as the N2 liveries and BR quad arts. There will also be a patch in the coming week or so for the N2 is fix a few bugs and patch some sounds. Caledonian Railway Single No. 123 will be released in a few weeks or so with two CR coaches (both in CR & LMS livery). 123 will come in CR dark blue (both rebuilt & unrebuilt), CR light Blue (both rebuilt & unrebuilt), the rebuilt form (current built) will come in LMS Crimson and Lined black. The coaches will be the same as the preserved Caley coaches at Boness however they wont be the exactly same as the two CR coaches are heavily modified by BR and I wanted the original CR form. After 123 is out, The LSWR Radial will be out will a full LSWR rake of coaches. Then the CR 812 will a rake of CR coaches and CR wagons & brake van. Then the P2, Cardean and probably Dukedog or 28xx.

Now I own Western Lines of Scotland, 123 is starting to look more appealing! As is the 812 for that matter... all I have currently are the old Dunallistair's off UKTS. The Cardean will be just magnificent.

However, it's the radial to which I am most looking forward to: some proper pre-grouping Southern (other than the M7's, Terriers, and the old IOW O2) with a proper Southern RAILWAY (not BR(S)) Route (The IOW network counts, but has a few bugs and is a unique - but wonderful - system). The coaches are also going to be very useful, and are partially why I've been putting off buying the birdcages in SR livery or BR livery, and SECR livery too, as there are no SECR locos in TS yet! This needs to put right, and the SECR liveried version of Waddon proves this in the SSS/VW pack.

So, all in all, I hope to buy everything (Though maybe not the P2, and possibly not the N2 - Yet) planned at some stage!

P.S. What might scheduled after the Dukedog or 2800? Or can't you tell us for fear of breaching the official secrets act and getting shot for it?

Id rather not say whats coming after the Dukedog other than the Stirling Single as I like to keep surprises. All will be revealed in due time
