That’s a great line-up to look forward to! I just hope the LNER A8 and J38/39 that were announced on Facebook in June 2015 (when DTG had just released the Weardale & Teesdale route) are still somewhere on DT’s list…

Yes me too. I keep saying it but that route is so lacking in prototypical steam.

I love all the western steam we have had but if Riviera in the 50's had come with a handful of diesels there would be hoards of GWR fans with pitchforks marching upon the DTG offices!

There was a G5 also announced at the same time which never appeared.

This list looks interesting, certainly the Adams Radial and Dukedog will be day one purchases, however some of them are quite niche choices in my opinion with few prototypical period routes to run them on .

This is the reason I keep banging on about the lack of pre-grouping routes! I'm slowly working through building an LBSCR one, and DT are going to release a 1920's era route for the Radial, which shouldn't be to hard to backdate to pre-grouping. I just want DTG to release a decent one, to the Standard of Riviera Line in the Fifties... That said the DT one looks better than RLit50'S.

We have the Q6 on the way.. and I may be jumping the gun but I think we may be back on with the J21 after some excellent detective work done for us by a Facebook follower.

On a side note, the reason Weardale came as it did is that it was built by Derek at DTG as a personal project and as he remembered it as a child, which was really post-steam.

That's good news and I am certainly looking forward to the Q6.

I understand re the Weardale route, stock I remember Derek talking about it. I was just being a bit mischievous bringing the Riviera into it (although I think my point had some validity) and I like diesels too so driving a DMU to Middleton in Teesdale is not an onerous task.

However, as most of the network went not long after diesels were introduced and Wearhead lost its passenger services (operated by J21's) in 1952, for me suitable steam would really bring this route to life.

The BR 3MT was cancelled about 5 years ago due to lack of reference, books and interest on our part. The GER D14 will be released with a route that we have in development (cant really give details on that at the moment). For the most part, DT will only be doing pre-grouping and grouping. The majority of us find BR era a bit dull and uninteresting and would rather market models we like and can put our heart into and pre-grouping & grouping is our specialty. The LNER A8 and J38 will be done at some point but its unknown when we will as we have about 30 engines in the pipeline to release and finish. My specialty is pre-grouping Scottish region and Im working on two GCR engines at the moment (one of which is preserved ). I cant tell you everything we have done and are doing as we like to surprise people but I hope this answers your questions so far

I fully agree! And I look forward to the as-yet-unannounced GER Pre-grouping route... or is it M&GN... and will it have more than a Claud...

Also, if yer beg m'pardon m'lud, but does yer clue allude to a certain preserved 4-4-0 named after a certain 'Director'... or sommat a bit bigger an' 2-8-0 shaped...?!

The two GCR engines I'm working on is the GCR D11s and GCR Jersey Lillie however they are very much side projects and I'm waiting for more reference to the cab and cab pictures before carrying on any further. I have no idea when they will be finished though.

Great news about the list of locos to be released and your company and employees faring better now
Being a GWR fan the Dukedog is a real favourite of mine
Such an anomaly in the 30's but a sound investment at the time
Would love to see the Duke, Bulldog and Dukedog added to the range
Perfect partners as you have to model parts for both engines anyway
Duke boiler with Bulldog frames makes a Dukedog

Model Duke frame to add to the Duke boiler you have a Duke
Model Bulldog Boiler with Bulldog frames and you have a Bulldog
Combined you have a Dukedog as well

Both the Duke and Bulldog where pre-grouping and grouping engines into BR days
So fits with pre-grouping, grouping and BR days
Double frame engines where iconic on the GWR
Love the grouping and pre-grouping additions to the range
Keep on steaming in the digital world

The LNER P2 is on its way. It was delayed for a long time due to reference material and drawings and research as well as the previous backlog of engines before the P2. Good things come to those who wait but you wont have to wait much longer, I promise . I do believe Rob and Tom want to make the Dukedog, Bulldog and Duke as they would be very easy to make using parts from each other but I dont know what the time frame for that is or if its planned anytime soon.

Can I ask will you be releasing them in just pre-grouping and the big four liveries?

We will release as many liveries as we can for all our models from pre-grouping, Grouping, BR and preserved ones.

A friend told me to ask you, but does this mean that the N2 will come with BR liveries? Personally I'd prefer GNR, as it already has, and also GNR insignia on the quad-arts? I think my friend wants the N2 for Weardale & Teesdale.

Talking of Weardale & Teesdale, I have been considering backdating this route to NER condition, as it doesn't look too awkward to backdate to either early LNER or, even better, pre-grouping. Another candidate I've considered is Riviera Line in the 50's, and to a much lesser degree the Brighton Main Line (Maybe only as far back as the 1930's...) and Chatham Mainline (The same), though those are harder. Not really much to do on the S&DJR, but maybe a signalling update/backdate. Anyone else got any suggestions for backdating to either BR, Pre-BR, or Pre-Grouping?

I was wondering if I could add this locomotive to your Southern list please it's the LSWR Adams 0395 0-6-0 first built in 1885 and 7 were still in use in 1957.their BR Numbers were 30568/75/8,30566/67/30564/80.

I Can remember the Feltham ones shunting Hounslow Inwood RD coal depot sidings between 1953-56,there was also a power station there,but I can't remember if it ad a coal siding or not.

My Grandparents house backed onto the Hounslow Loop,at Chatsworth Crescent and overlooked the sidings and Inwood Park,

In the 50/60's the Hounslow Loop was busy with freight trains going to and from Feltham and the North London Line with inter regional freight trains,and also Feltham Nine Elms,other interesting Feltham locomotives were the big tanks the G16 4-8-0T and the H16 4-6-2T.

The electric trains were the 4 sub's both types Torpedo Front and Flat front,there were electric train stabling sidings at Hounslow just past Whitton Rd Bridge.

I hope you will still carry on making all periods,from Pre Grouping,Grouping through to BR if the locomotives lasted into the BR era,my preferred era is 1947-67
