You can also use them on North Lincolnshire, with both Grimsby and Immingham, even today a lot of the route is still semaphore signaled, and it's collieries, ideal for the BR Railfreight,Railfreight sectors, and original BR Blue 56's

Well, that won't be ready until next year, of course we already have Netherfield:Nottingham on Steam, WCML Trent Valley with Rugeley Power Station, the Woodhead Line and the freeware routes NE Rails from Joe Whittaker with coal pits and dock loadings, South West Wales with working Coedbach washery from PacerPilot & Trav, South Lancashire and Cheshire BR Blue that features 2 coal mines and Fidlers Ferry Power Station, plus there are Scottish routes & WCML/ECML, and even one from Kent, so, lots and lots of layouts to rekindle MGR coal haulage on with a bit of imagination.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.
Thanks Steve, North East Rails is going to see a lot of 56 traffic over the coming days!!

Hi all,
on trying the scenario -6M46 Red...-Hardendale. Could not get a tick when dropping of the rear half of the consist at Hardendale reception 1a. The reason being, in my DL version, the game is looking for verification that these wagons have been dropped of at Hardendale Reception 1b. Just needed the instruction in the editor to be changed to 1a, where in fact the wagons are.

Apologies about that but as stated in one of the in-game scenario messages, there is no way of achieving a tick for this part of the scenario because of a limitation with the simulator's dispatcher.

Surely John's post shows that it's more a case of a limitation with the scenario's editing?

I kindly suggest to you 'gptech', it's not as simple as that. Doing that either caused the dispatcher to not process the service or it also resulted in no tick. I can't remember which but it most certainly didn't fix it. If anyone is able to produce a version that does have it working though, I would be most grateful for any advice!

Going by the posts here though it would seem to be that simple.

Past tense, implying that once the instruction had been amended the tick was achievable.

Having experienced a thorough QA process recently with a number of scenarios, I was surprised to find how fragile the dispatcher was between systems. Some QA staff experienced issues in scenarios that others didn't, and those that did might only experience it once in every several playthroughs. Whilst in John's case it may have possibly resolved the issue for the one replay he likely made, there's a strong possibility Richard alluding to it "not being as simple as that" could be down to it not resolving the issue every time on every system, and possibly introducing further issues as he mentioned.

John would seem to be the man to talk to.
I do not under any circumstances claim an ability to sort out Railworks problems.
But as a picture is worth any number of words, the two attachments show the result at carrying out Instruction3 pre and post modification.
All I can say is I must have a unique version of Railworks.
See next post for pictures of the mods carried out in the editor.

Here are pictures of alteration done in the editor.
The top one is the actual modification, the other two are pre and post mod.

Many thanks, John. Very kind of you to take the time to investigate and show your findings. Applying that to the scenario does indeed seem to sort things out. Most bizarre though as you'll see from my screenshot below, which was a test scenario under the same conditions but starting at Hardendale Up Main, it very much didn't like the idea of selecting Hardendale Reception 1a for the first uncouple instruction.

As Jordi aludes to above, that's the dispatcher for you, works in seemingly random and confusing ways sometimes.

Contact me over pm, John and I shall sort out a free pack for you as a thanks.

Hi Richard,
no problem, glad any ambiguity has been resolved. Have replied to your request for a PM message, just an aside for "sort" within that message read "sought". Touch of dyslexia creeping in , in my old age.
