The full power sound is at its absolute maximum before it would distort. All sounds below that are then as recorded so the volume differential is realistic. If you're not used to our latest packs in the last few years though, it might take some getting used to. Especially if you have unchanged default sounds around you which invariably don't vary much in volume between idle and full power.

ok. Thanks for explaining. I just wondered if there was a way to increase the volume of the engine sound through tweaking maybe a bin file or two.

Thanks

Yes that's about what I asked for a few days ago in this thread. Is that possible? Perhaps it is more the horn sounds that are way to loud compared to the engine sounds (imo) that make you have to turn up the volume to have a satisfactory engine sound level. Using the horn at that volume level keeps disturbing me :-?
Other than that btw, excellent pack that finally does justice to the class 56 in TS. And yes I would love to see some more scenarios for the 56 as well.

Cheers,
Jos

Hi
I have just bought the pack and had no problems installing them, really well done and I like the Load Haul ones and the BR Blue ones, and at £9.99 good value for money.
My only disappointment was the lack of scenario's I only found 4 for West Coast over Shap, and when you consider in their heyday the were seen on all Regions of BR,and on all types of freight.

At long last I am finally able to drive the class 56. I can't drive a loco in the sim if the sounds are no good. It's been a long wait for this one but well worth it.
A few have commented on the engine sound being too quiet. I disagree. The volume soundst accurate to me. I was fortunate enough to experience a Colas class 56 on the Bodmin gradients last year and it isn't the loudest of machines. Compared to the raw bark and growl of a class 37, 50 or rat, the 56 is not that loud. It's the turbo scream that makes the noise but even that isn't as earth shattering as a 37 firing up.

Well done Richard another masterpiece of sound craftsmanship and good to see you doing what you do best, transforming classic traction.

I think there are a number of ones on here, going back a number of years when TS was new, I rerely downloaded any scenarios then but have a a couple for the original York to Newcastle route which use the previous version of the class 56 which I have swapped out, there is also 1S76 on Brighton Mainline this uses DTG version, a few for Ay Valley line know doubt done by RosGar as I know they have done lots of scenarios for the Ay valley line using almost all traction, there is a North London Line scenario, I think I have had most of these from this site, if that helps.

Some class 56 Scenarios -:

File ID

33444
36558
33989
33945
24739 uses the original version, so would need to be swapped out.

We've added two scenarios to the Vulcan Productions website, these are from the early 2000's on South Wales Coastal:

We've also added some reskins by Richard Fletcher which can be found at:

Hi
Well I really do like this pack but again to my memory problems and the fact that my eyesight is failing so can't read and comprhend the instructions, I cannot get any of them to move, either in simple mode or expert f4 HUD, I was wondering if anyone could be kind enough to alter the files for me so I can get the Trains rail, Loadhaul, Rail freight and BR Large Logo to work in either of these 2 modes.
You're help would be great fully be appreciated
Thanks in advance

I do like the vid on the AP site - great exhaust effects.

Some is clearly WCML, but is some SWML around Newport???

If so, could there be a forthcoming S Wales scenario pack featuring 56s and the 37/9s :-)

Well, that won't be ready until next year, of course we already have Netherfield:Nottingham on Steam, WCML Trent Valley with Rugeley Power Station, the Woodhead Line and the freeware routes NE Rails from Joe Whittaker with coal pits and dock loadings, South West Wales with working Coedbach washery from PacerPilot & Trav, South Lancashire and Cheshire BR Blue that features 2 coal mines and Fidlers Ferry Power Station, plus there are Scottish routes & WCML/ECML, and even one from Kent, so, lots and lots of layouts to rekindle MGR coal haulage on with a bit of imagination.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.
