I've no doubt that the sounds are of the usual AP standard and will enhance the experience for users, but of more interest to me is whether the pack removes the cast BR arrows or just paints over them....anybody able to say?

It paints over them. Sadly they mustn't have able to find a way around it.

Well that all looks awesome, and with a pretty full pack of paint jobs. Thumbs up from me there :D

Does this pack improve the sounds of the DTG 56, or is that unaffected?

Yes. Go to the AP page and see all the improvements in detail.

Yet again, Richard and his crew have given us another reason to spend our hard earned cash.

.....who needs TSW!

I think the arrows appear on a node that contains a lot more items and therefore disabling the node would mean a lot of stuff needed remodelling to be added back in.

To be honest I didn't notice the BR arrows on the repaints, and that was with using the exterior view a lot to get the full effect of the engine sounds. I'm really impressed with the physics on this as well, even more so than with the 66 pack. Between that and the noise, you can really feel the weight of the train and the power of the loco in a way that you don't often find. I've heard it argued that anyone can make repaints, tweak physics etc so why are we giving Richard and co. a tenner, and I think for me, the reason is the way that the AP packs get all of the components - the look, the sound and the simulation aspects - working together. That's not to denigrate the efforts of community reskinners and modders, just trying to articulate why I feel like I get my money's worth from AP :) .

Cheers, Ade. This is exactly the sort of thing we're going for with these enhancement packs and I'm pleased that's appreciated!

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words too.

Having downloaded last night, i have just taken it for a spin down the MML, though i would do this line as it was my first class 56 haulage, 56017 Luton to St. Pancras on 21 May 1989, BR having orangised a diesel day between Leicester and London. I know 17 is the wrong type for this model, well it sounds fantastic, just think the sound is a bit quite though as you can barely hear it ticking over, so turned up the volume. At last the class 56 becomes a driverable locomotive, as I reaely did so and just used it for AI traffic, now it sounds real it will be driven a lot more, Thanks to AP for doing a great job. To anyone bothered about the BR logo which can not be removed, this is hardly even noticeable.

We have just uploaded the BR Blue Large Logo (Tinsley Edition) Class 56 reskin to our website courtesy of Richard Fletcher.

This differs from the standard Large Logo in that it has red bufferbeams as well as white window surrounds that were painted on at Tinsley Depot,Sheffield.

Requirements:
Sectors Class 56 Pack from Steam
AP Class 56 Enhancement Pack

Thanks to AP for finally bringing this loco to life!

Cheers,

It also has red diamonds and TOPS panels that I made for a previous reskin for some additional detail.

Hi all,
before I try various attempts at a remedy, can someone verify if there is a fault with this scenario. Scenario in question APC56EP 6S72 17:17 Warrington - Mossend. Problem being on approach to the second stop, which is Penrith Platform3, I find that I'm being routed to the straight through Platform. Not being diverted to the line to platform three on the Eamont Viaduct Down Line as I suspect is supposed to happen. Have tried a "save" on approach to the viaduct and a "resume", to no avail points do not operate to direct me to Platform3.
This using Medium Graphics setting.
